維生之道、太初而有、我儕所聞所見、所瞻視而手捫者、

元始生命之道、余耳聞之、目擊之、手捫之、

吾人所言者、乃元始生命之道、而亦吾人所曾耳濡目染、躬自瞻仰、親受撫摩者也。

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched— this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.

Here is what we announce to everyone about the Word of life. The Word was already here from the beginning. We have heard him. We have seen him with our eyes. We have looked at him. Our hands have touched him.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life—

We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life.

This is what we proclaim to you: what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and our hands have touched( concerning the word of life–

遂謂多瑪曰、伸爾指、探我手、伸爾手、探我脅、毋不信、當信焉、

父遣其子、為世之救主、我儕見之、亦為之證、

視我手足、即知是我也、試捫我且視、鬼魂無骨肉、爾視我有之、

我儕素以我主耶穌基督之大力、及其降臨之事告爾、非從巧飾虛誕、乃目擊其大榮、蓋耶穌由父天主得尊榮、自至大之榮光中、有聲臨之曰、此我愛子、我所悅者也、此聲自天、我儕偕彼在聖山之時親聞之、

我見之、仆於其足前如死、彼以右手按我曰、勿畏、我乃首先者、我乃末後者、我乃生者、雖死仍生、至於世世、阿們、且執哈底哈底有譯陰間有譯地獄與死亡之鑰、

爾當書達司每拿教會使者曰、為首先者、為末後者、昔死而今生者、如是云、

又耶穌受害後、多以確據、自顯示於使徒為生、歷四旬屢現於彼、與論天國之事、

衣以染血之衣、其名稱為天主之道、道或作言

在天作證者三、父也、道也、聖神也、此三者為一、

惟爾伯利恆以法他、雖在猶大郡中郡中原文作諸千中千者即千家也為小、然將有君自爾出、為我治理以色列民、其源源原文作出自亙古自太初已有、

父老乎、我致書於爾、因爾識自始即有者、少者乎、我致書於爾、因爾勝彼惡者、孺子乎、我致書於爾、因爾識父、父老乎、我曾致書於爾、因爾識自始即有者、少者乎、我曾致書於爾、因爾剛健、而天主之道存於爾內、爾曹已勝彼惡者矣、

此事誰作之、誰成之、乃我即主、我從太初命定萬世之事、元始有我、終亦有我、

在主道道或作造化之始、我為主所有、即在太初、在造物之先、在萬世之先、在元始、尚未有地、我已被立、被立或作受膏未有深淵、未有大水之泉源、我已先生、山嶽尚未奠定、岡陵尚未有之先、我已先生、主尚未造大地田野及寰宇之高壤、我已在矣、主創造穹蒼、使空氣四周涵蓋大淵、我已同在、主在上鋪張天雲、使淵泉洶湧、為海定限、使水不越岸、並立大地之根基、其時我與主偕在為巧匠、日日為主所悅、日日為主所悅或作日日喜悅不勝恆踴躍於主前、踴躍於主之寰區、亦甚喜悅世人、

曰、我乃亞勒法、我乃阿梅迦、乃首先者、乃末後者、爾當以所見者、筆之於書、達亞西亞之以弗所、司每拿、別迦摩、推雅推拉、撒狄、非拉叠非、老底嘉諸教會、

見者為證、其證乃真、自知所言為真、使爾曹信也、
