For it is written in the Law of Moses:“ Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” Is it about oxen that God is concerned?

Here is what is written in the Law of Moses.“ Do not stop an ox from eating while it helps separate the grain from the straw.”( Deuteronomy 25:4) Is it oxen that God is concerned about?

For it is written in the Law of Moses,“ You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain.” Is it for oxen that God is concerned?

For the law of Moses says,“ You must not muzzle an ox to keep it from eating as it treads out the grain.” Was God thinking only about oxen when he said this?

For it is written in the law of Moses, Do not muzzle an ox while it treads out grain. Is God really concerned about oxen?

因為經上說：「牛在踹穀的時候，不可籠住牠的嘴」；又說：「工人得工資是應當的。」

這些都仰望你按時給牠們食物。

萬有的眼目都仰望你，你按時給他們食物。你張手，使一切有生命的都隨願飽足。

你們想一想烏鴉：牠們既不種也不收，既沒有倉又沒有庫，上帝尚且養活牠們。你們比飛鳥要貴重得多呢！你們哪一個能藉着憂慮使壽數多加一刻呢？這最小的事你們尚且不能做，何必憂慮其餘的事呢？你們想一想百合花是怎麼長起來的：它也不勞動，也不紡線。然而我告訴你們，就是所羅門極榮華的時候，他所穿戴的還不如這些花的一朵呢！你們這小信的人哪！野地裏的草今天還在，明天就丟在爐裏，上帝還給它這樣的妝飾，何況你們呢？

但第七日是向耶和華－你的上帝當守的安息日。這一日，你和你的兒女、僕婢、牛、驢、牲畜，以及你城裏寄居的客旅，都不可做任何的工，使你的僕婢可以和你一樣休息。

他用密雲遮天，為地預備雨水，使草生長在山上。他賜食物給走獸和啼叫的小烏鴉。

你們看一看那天上的飛鳥，也不種也不收，也不在倉裏存糧，你們的天父尚且養活牠們。你們不比飛鳥貴重得多嗎？你們哪一個能藉着憂慮使壽數多加一刻呢？何必為衣裳憂慮呢？你們想一想野地裏的百合花是怎麼長起來的：它也不勞動也不紡線。然而我告訴你們，就是所羅門極榮華的時候，他所穿戴的還不如這些花的一朵呢！你們這小信的人哪！野地裏的草今天還在，明天就丟在爐裏，上帝還給它這樣的妝飾，何況你們呢？

「你若看見弟兄的牛或羊迷了路，不可避開牠們，總要把牠們牽回來交給你的弟兄。你弟兄若離你遠，或是你不認識他，你就要牽到你家，留在你那裏，等你的弟兄來尋找就還給他。你弟兄所失落的，無論是驢，衣服，或任何東西，你若發現，都要這樣做，不能避開。你若看見你弟兄的牛或驢在路上跌倒了，不可避開牠們，總要幫助他把牛或驢拉起來。

耶和華使驢開口，對巴蘭說：「我向你做了甚麼，你竟打我這三次呢？」巴蘭對驢說：「因為你戲弄我，我恨不得手中有刀，現在就把你殺了。」驢對巴蘭說：「我不是你從小直到今天所騎的驢嗎？我平時有這樣待過你嗎？」巴蘭說：「沒有。」耶和華使巴蘭的眼目明亮，他看見耶和華的使者站在路中間，手裏有拔出來的刀；巴蘭就低頭俯伏下拜。耶和華的使者對他說：「你為甚麼這三次打你的驢呢？看哪，我出來敵對你，因為這路在我面前已經偏離了。驢看見我就從我面前迴避了這三次；驢若沒有迴避我，我早把你殺了，留牠存活。」巴蘭對耶和華的使者說：「我有罪了。我不知道你站在路中間阻擋我；現在你若看為不好，我就回去。」耶和華的使者對巴蘭說：「你和這些人去吧！你只要說我對你說的話。」於是巴蘭和巴勒的官員一同去了。

何況這尼尼微大城，其中不能分辨左右手的就有十二萬多人，還有許多牲畜，我豈能不愛惜呢？」
