For it is written in the Law of Moses:“ Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” Is it about oxen that God is concerned?

Here is what is written in the Law of Moses.“ Do not stop an ox from eating while it helps separate the grain from the straw.”( Deuteronomy 25:4) Is it oxen that God is concerned about?

All of them wait for you to give them their food at the right time.

All eyes look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.You open your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

Consider the ravens: They don’t sow or reap; they don’t have a storeroom or a barn; yet God feeds them. Aren’t you worth much more than the birds?Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?If then you’re not able to do even a little thing, why worry about the rest?“ Consider how the wildflowers grow: They don’t labor or spin thread. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these.If that’s how God clothes the grass, which is in the field today and is thrown into the furnace tomorrow, how much more will he do for you— you of little faith?

but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. Do not do any work— you, your son or daughter, your male or female slave, your ox or donkey, any of your livestock, or the resident alien who lives within your city gates, so that your male and female slaves may rest as you do.

who covers the sky with clouds, prepares rain for the earth, and causes grass to grow on the hills.He provides the animals with their food, and the young ravens what they cry for.

Consider the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?And why do you worry about clothes? Observe how the wildflowers of the field grow: They don’t labor or spin thread.Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these.If that’s how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, won’t he do much more for you— you of little faith?

“ If you see your brother Israelite’s ox or sheep straying, do not ignore it; make sure you return it to your brother.If your brother does not live near you or you don’t know him, you are to bring the animal to your home to remain with you until your brother comes looking for it; then you can return it to him.Do the same for his donkey, his garment, or anything your brother has lost and you have found. So may I not care about the great city of Nineveh, which has more than a hundred twenty thousand people who cannot distinguish between their right and their left, as well as many animals?”
