Do we not have the right to the company of a believing wife, like the other apostles and the Lord’s brothers and Cephas?

豈無權娶信女攜之同行、如他使徒、及主之兄弟、與磯法乎、

宗主之姊妹、余非得娶乎、如他使徒、及主之兄弟、與磯法然、

我豈無權娶女弟為妻、攜之同行、如他使徒、及主之兄弟與磯法乎、

又豈無權攜一奉主之婦人出門傳道、一如其他宗徒、與主之諸弟、以及基法之所為耶？

Don’t we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other apostles and the Lord’s brothers and Cephas?

Don’t we have the right to take a believing wife with us when we travel? The other apostles do. The Lord’s brothers do. Peter does.

Do we not have the right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?

Don’t we have the right to bring a believing wife with us as the other apostles and the Lord’s brothers do, and as Peter does?

Don’t we have the right to be accompanied by a believing wife like the other apostles, the Lord’s brothers, and Cephas?

Do we not have a right to take along a believing wife, even as the rest of the apostles and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

Have we no right to lead about a wife that is a believer, even as the rest of the apostles, and the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

Don’t we have the right to be accompanied by a Christian wife like the other apostles, the Lord’s brothers, and Cephas?

Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and[ as] the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

Have we no right to take along a wife who is a believer, even as the rest of the apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

Andrew brought Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,“ You are Simon, the son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which is translated Peter).

Now when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother- in- law lying down, sick with a fever.

I wish that everyone was as I am. But each has his own gift from God, one this way, another that.

All these continued together in prayer with one mind, together with the women, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.

Marriage must be honored among all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge sexually immoral people and adulterers.

But I saw none of the other apostles except James the Lord’s brother.

The overseer then must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, self- controlled, respectable, hospitable, an able teacher,

You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride! You have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace.How delightful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much better is your love than wine; the fragrance of your perfume is better than any spice!

An elder must be blameless, the husband of one wife, with faithful children who cannot be charged with dissipation or rebellion.

older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters– with complete purity.

You are a locked garden, my sister, my bride; you are an enclosed spring, a sealed-up fountain.

Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And aren’t his sisters here with us?” And so they took offense at him.

While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, his mother and brothers came and stood outside, asking to speak to him.Someone told him,“ Look, your mother and your brothers are standing outside wanting to speak to you.”To the one who had said this, Jesus replied,“ Who is my mother and who are my brothers?”And pointing toward his disciples he said,“ Here are my mother and my brothers!For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

But if the unbeliever wants a divorce, let it take place. In these circumstances the brother or sister is not bound. God has called you in peace.

A wife is bound as long as her husband is living. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes( only someone in the Lord).

Now I mean this, that each of you is saying,“ I am with Paul,” or“ I am with Apollos,” or“ I am with Cephas,” or“ I am with Christ.”

I have entered my garden, O my sister, my bride; I have gathered my myrrh with my balsam spice. I have eaten my honeycomb and my honey; I have drunk my wine and my milk! Eat, friends, and drink! Drink freely, O lovers!I was asleep, but my mind was dreaming. Listen! My lover is knocking at the door!“ Open for me, my sister, my darling, my dove, my flawless one! My head is drenched with dew, my hair with the dampness of the night.”

Now I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a servant of the church in Cenchrea,

Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother named Mary? And aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas?

After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother and brothers and his disciples, and they stayed there a few days.

Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called the Zealot,

Simon’s mother- in- law was lying down, sick with a fever, so they spoke to Jesus at once about her.

They will prohibit marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
