Yet preaching the Good News is not something I can boast about. I am compelled by God to do it. How terrible for me if I didn’t preach the Good News!

我传福音原没有可夸的，因为我是不得已的。若不传福音，我便有祸了。

我传福音原没有可夸耀的，因为我是不得已的，若不传福音，我就有祸了。

其实我传福音并没有什么可夸的，因为这是我的任务，我不传福音就有祸了！

我传福音原是没有可夸的，因我不能不传。如果不传福音，我就有祸了。

原来，就算我传福音，也没有可夸耀的，因为传福音的需要催逼着我；我如果不传福音，我就有祸了；

我傳福音原沒有可誇的，因為我是不得已的。若不傳福音，我便有禍了。

夫我宣福音、無可自詡、不得已耳、若不宣之、則禍矣、

夫我傳福音、無可自詡、不得已耳、誠以不傳福音、則為有禍、

我傳福音、原無可誇、不得已耳、若不傳福音、自以為有禍、

蓋我引以為榮者、不在宣傳福音；蓋宣傳福音、在吾為義不容辭之事、實有所受命耳。若中途而廢、則吾其休矣！

For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

But when I preach the good news, I can’t brag. I have to preach it. How terrible it will be for me if I do not preach the good news!

For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For necessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because I am compelled to preach— and woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast about, for I am under compulsion; for woe to me if I do not preach the gospel.

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of; for necessity is laid upon me; for woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel.

For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because an obligation is placed on me. And woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason for boasting, because I am compelled to do this. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

For if I preach the Good News, I have nothing to boast about; for necessity is laid on me; but woe is to me if I don’t preach the Good News.

We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.”

For I have a great sense of obligation to people in both the civilized world and the rest of the world, to the educated and uneducated alike.

And say to Archippus,“ Be sure to carry out the ministry the Lord gave you.”

Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Now get to your feet! For I have appeared to you to appoint you as my servant and witness. Tell people that you have seen me, and tell them what I will show you in the future.And I will rescue you from both your own people and the Gentiles. Yes, I am sending you to the Gentilesto open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’“ And so, King Agrippa, I obeyed that vision from heaven.I preached first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that all must repent of their sins and turn to God— and prove they have changed by the good things they do.

But Jesus told him,“ Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.”

So I have reason to be enthusiastic about all Christ Jesus has done through me in my service to God.

But the Lord said,“ Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel.

Then I said,“ It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”

But the Lord called me away from my flock and told me,‘ Go and prophesy to my people in Israel.’

The lion has roared— so who isn’t frightened? The Sovereign Lord has spoken— so who can refuse to proclaim his message?

O Lord, you misled me, and I allowed myself to be misled. You are stronger than I am, and you overpowered me. Now I am mocked every day; everyone laughs at me.

If his good deeds had made him acceptable to God, he would have had something to boast about. But that was not God’s way.

But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it!

“ Get up and prepare for action. Go out and tell them everything I tell you to say. Do not be afraid of them, or I will make you look foolish in front of them.
