For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For necessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

我传福音原没有可夸的，因为我是不得已的。若不传福音，我便有祸了。

蓋我引以為榮者、不在宣傳福音；蓋宣傳福音、在吾為義不容辭之事、實有所受命耳。若中途而廢、則吾其休矣！

For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

But when I preach the good news, I can’t brag. I have to preach it. How terrible it will be for me if I do not preach the good news!

Yet preaching the Good News is not something I can boast about. I am compelled by God to do it. How terrible for me if I didn’t preach the Good News!

For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because I am compelled to preach— and woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast about, for I am under compulsion; for woe to me if I do not preach the gospel.

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of; for necessity is laid upon me; for woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel.

For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because an obligation is placed on me. And woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish.

And say to Archippus,“ See that you fulfill the ministry that you have received in the Lord.”

But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.”

But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you,delivering you from your people and from the Gentiles— to whom I am sending youto open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’“ Therefore, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance.

Jesus said to him,“ No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

In Christ Jesus, then, I have reason to be proud of my work for God.

But the Lord said to him,“ Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.

And I said:“ Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!”

But the Lord took me from following the flock, and the Lord said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’

The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy?”

O Lord, you have deceived me, and I was deceived; you are stronger than I, and you have prevailed. I have become a laughingstock all the day; everyone mocks me.

For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.

If I say,“ I will not mention him, or speak any more in his name,” there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot.

But you, dress yourself for work; arise, and say to them everything that I command you. Do not be dismayed by them, lest I dismay you before them.
