他人且操此權、況我乎、然我不為也、寧凡事容忍、免阻基督福音、

他人且操此權、況我乎、然我不為之、寧忍諸難、恐阻基督福音、

他人尚操此權於爾中、況我儕乎、然我儕未用此權、寧忍一切、免阻基督之福音、

他人尚且對爾享此權利、況吾儕乎？然吾儕向未行使此權、而甘受困乏者、蓋不欲在基督福音道上、置任何之障礙也。

If others have this right of support from you, shouldn’t we have it all the more? But we did not use this right. On the contrary, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ.

Others have the right to receive help from you. Don’t we have even more right to do so? But we didn’t use that right. No, we have put up with everything. We didn’t want to keep the good news of Christ from spreading.

If others share this rightful claim on you, do not we even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right, but we endure anything rather than put an obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ.

If you support others who preach to you, shouldn’t we have an even greater right to be supported? But we have never used this right. We would rather put up with anything than be an obstacle to the Good News about Christ.

If others have this right to receive benefits from you, don’t we even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right; instead, we endure everything so that we will not hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others share the right over you, do we not more? Nevertheless, we did not use this right, but we endure all things so that we will cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more? Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others partake of this right over you, do not we yet more? Nevertheless we did not use this right; but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

If others have this right to receive benefits from you, don’t we even more? However, we have not made use of this right; instead we endure everything so that we will not hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others be partakers of[ this] power over you,[ are] not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

這樣，我的賞賜是甚麼呢？就是我傳福音的時候，使人不花錢得福音，免得我用盡了傳福音的權利。

我現在所做的，將來還要做，為要斷絕那些尋機會之人的機會，不讓他們在所誇耀的事上被人認為與我們一樣。

但這權利我全然沒有用過。我寫這些話，並非要你們這樣待我，因為我寧可死也不讓人使我所誇的落了空。

我貶低自己，為了使你們高升，因為我白白地傳上帝的福音給你們，難道這算是我犯了錯嗎？我剝奪了別的教會，向他們取了報酬來效勞你們。我在你們那裏有缺乏的時候，並沒有連累你們一個人，因為我所缺乏的，那些從馬其頓來的弟兄都補足了。我向來凡事謹慎，將來也必謹慎，總不要連累你們。既有基督的真誠在我裏面，在亞該亞一帶地方就沒有人能阻止我這樣自誇。

你們律法師有禍了！因為你們把知識的鑰匙奪了去，自己不進去，要進去的人，你們也阻擋他們。」

你們彼此告狀，這已經是你們的大錯了。為甚麼不情願受冤屈呢？為甚麼不情願吃虧呢？

大家同謀要來攻打耶路撒冷，使城混亂。

直到如今，我們還是又飢又渴，又赤身露體，又挨打，又到處漂泊，並且勞碌，親手做工；被人咒罵，我們就祝福；被人迫害，我們就忍受；

他們本是製造帳棚為業。保羅因與他們同業，就和他們同住，一同做工。

我們不在任何事上妨礙任何人，免得這使命被人毀謗；

因此我多次被攔阻，不能到你們那裏去。

僕人對他們說：「耶和華既然使我道路亨通，你們就不要躭誤我，請讓我走，回我主人那裏去吧！」

假若對別人來說，我不是使徒，對你們來說，我總是使徒；因為你們在主裏正是我作使徒的印證。

也從未白吃人的飯，倒是辛苦勞碌，晝夜做工，免得使你們中間有人受累。這並不是因我們沒有權柄，而是要給你們作榜樣，好讓你們效法我們。

所以你們要警醒，記念我三年之久，晝夜不斷地流淚勸戒你們各人。現在我把你們交託給上帝和他恩惠的道；這道能建立你們，使你們和一切成聖的人同得基業。我未曾貪圖一個人的金、銀或衣服。你們自己知道，我靠兩隻手工作來供給我和同工的需用。

我寫這些話，不是要使你們羞愧，而是要警戒你們，好像我所愛的兒女一樣。雖然你們在基督裏有無數的導師，卻沒有許多父親，因我是在基督耶穌裏用福音生了你們。

我們作為基督的使徒，雖然可以受人尊重，卻沒有向你們或向別人求榮耀，反而在你們當中心存溫柔，如同母親哺乳自己的孩子。

假若有人奴役你們，或侵吞你們，或壓榨你們，或侮辱你們，或打你們的臉，你們居然都能容忍。

除了我不曾連累你們這一件事，你們還有甚麼事不及別的教會呢？這不公平之處，請你們饒恕我吧。如今，我準備第三次到你們那裏去。我仍不會連累你們，因為我所求的是你們，不是你們的財物。兒女不該為父母積財，父母該為兒女積財。
