If others share the right over you, do we not more? Nevertheless, we did not use this right, but we endure all things so that we will cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

他人且操此權、況我乎、然我不為也、寧凡事容忍、免阻基督福音、

他人且操此權、況我乎、然我不為之、寧忍諸難、恐阻基督福音、

他人尚操此權於爾中、況我儕乎、然我儕未用此權、寧忍一切、免阻基督之福音、

他人尚且對爾享此權利、況吾儕乎？然吾儕向未行使此權、而甘受困乏者、蓋不欲在基督福音道上、置任何之障礙也。

If others have this right of support from you, shouldn’t we have it all the more? But we did not use this right. On the contrary, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ.

Others have the right to receive help from you. Don’t we have even more right to do so? But we didn’t use that right. No, we have put up with everything. We didn’t want to keep the good news of Christ from spreading.

If others share this rightful claim on you, do not we even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right, but we endure anything rather than put an obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ.

If you support others who preach to you, shouldn’t we have an even greater right to be supported? But we have never used this right. We would rather put up with anything than be an obstacle to the Good News about Christ.

If others have this right to receive benefits from you, don’t we even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right; instead, we endure everything so that we will not hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more? Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others partake of this right over you, do not we yet more? Nevertheless we did not use this right; but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

If others have this right to receive benefits from you, don’t we even more? However, we have not made use of this right; instead we endure everything so that we will not hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others be partakers of[ this] power over you,[ are] not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others receive this right from you, are we not more deserving? But we have not made use of this right. Instead we endure everything so that we may not be a hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

If others partake of this right over you, don’t we yet more? Nevertheless we didn’t use this right, but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the Good News of Christ.

What, then, is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel without charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

But what I am doing I will also continue to do, so that I may eliminate the opportunity from those who want an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the matter about which they are boasting.

But I have used none of these things. And I have not written these things so that it will be done so in my case; for it would be better for me to die than that. No one shall make my boast an empty one!

Or did I commit a sin by humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you without charge?I robbed other churches by taking wages from them to serve you;and when I was present with you and was in need, I was not a burden to anyone; for when the brothers came from Macedonia they fully supplied my need, and in everything I kept myself from being a burden to you, and will continue to do so.As the truth of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine will not be stopped in the regions of Achaia.

Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge; you yourselves did not enter, and you hindered those who were entering.”

Actually, then, it is already a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits with one another. Why not rather suffer the wrong? Why not rather be defrauded?

So all of them conspired together to come to fight against Jerusalem and to cause confusion in it.

Up to this present hour we are both hungry and thirsty, and are poorly clothed and roughly treated and homeless;and we labor, working with our own hands; when we are verbally abused, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;

and because he was of the same trade he stayed with them, and they worked together, for they were tent makers by trade.

giving no reason for taking offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited,

For this reason I have often been prevented from coming to you;

However, he said to them,“ Do not delay me, since the Lord has prospered my way. Send me away so that I may go to my master.”

If I am not an apostle to others, at least I am to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

nor did we eat anyone’s bread without paying for it, but with labor and hardship we kept working night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you;not because we do not have the right to this, but in order to offer ourselves as a role model for you, so that you would follow our example.

Therefore, be on the alert, remembering that night and day for a period of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears.And now I entrust you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or clothes.You yourselves know that these hands served my own needs and the men who were with me.

I do not write these things to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children.For if you were to have countless tutors in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

nor did we seek honor from people, either from you or from others, though we could have asserted our authority as apostles of Christ.But we proved to be gentle among you. As a nursing mother tenderly cares for her own children,in the same way we had a fond affection for you and were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us.For you recall, brothers and sisters, our labor and hardship: it was by working night and day so as not to be a burden to any of you, that we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.

For you tolerate it if anyone enslaves you, if anyone devours you, if anyone takes advantage of you, if anyone exalts himself, if anyone hits you in the face.

For in what respect were you treated as inferior to the rest of the churches, except that I myself did not become a burden to you? Forgive me this wrong!Here for this third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be a burden to you; for I do not seek what is yours, but you; for children are not responsible to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.
