他人尚操此權於爾中、況我儕乎、然我儕未用此權、寧忍一切、免阻基督之福音、

他人尚且對爾享此權利、況吾儕乎？然吾儕向未行使此權、而甘受困乏者、蓋不欲在基督福音道上、置任何之障礙也。

If others have this right of support from you, shouldn’t we have it all the more? But we did not use this right. On the contrary, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ.

Others have the right to receive help from you. Don’t we have even more right to do so? But we didn’t use that right. No, we have put up with everything. We didn’t want to keep the good news of Christ from spreading.

If others share this rightful claim on you, do not we even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right, but we endure anything rather than put an obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ.

If you support others who preach to you, shouldn’t we have an even greater right to be supported? But we have never used this right. We would rather put up with anything than be an obstacle to the Good News about Christ.

If others have this right to receive benefits from you, don’t we even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right; instead, we endure everything so that we will not hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others share the right over you, do we not more? Nevertheless, we did not use this right, but we endure all things so that we will cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more? Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others partake of this right over you, do not we yet more? Nevertheless we did not use this right; but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

那麼，我的賞賜是甚麼呢？就是我傳福音時，叫人免費得著福音。這樣，我就沒有用過傳福音可以享有的權利了。

我現在所作的，將來還要作，為了要斷絕那些投機分子的機會，不讓他們在所誇的事上，被人認為是跟我們一樣的。

但這種權利，我一點也沒有用過。我寫這些話，並不是想叫人這樣待我，因為我寧可死，也不讓人使我所誇耀的落了空。

我貶低自己，使你們高升，把神的福音白白地傳給你們，我這樣是犯罪嗎？我為了服事你們，就接受了別的教會的供應，也可以說是剝削了他們。我在你們那裡有缺乏的時候，並沒有連累任何人，因為從馬其頓來的弟兄們，補足了我的缺乏。我在各方面都不讓自己成為你們的重擔，將來也是一樣。我有基督的真理在我裡面，在亞該亞一帶沒有人能阻止我這樣誇口。

你們律法師有禍了！因為你們拿去知識的鑰匙，自己不進去，又阻止要進去的人。”

你們彼此告狀，已經是你們的失敗了。為甚麼不寧願受委屈呢？為甚麼不甘心吃虧呢？

他們就一同計劃陰謀要來攻擊耶路撒冷，製造混亂。

直到現在，我們還是又飢又渴，衣不蔽體，又挨打，又沒有棲身的地方，並且勞苦，親手作工。被人咒罵，我們就祝福；遭受迫害，我們就忍受；

他們是以做帳棚為業的，因為是同業，保羅就與他們同住，一同工作。

我們凡事都沒有妨礙人，不讓這職分受到毀謗，

因此，我多次受到攔阻，不能到你們那裡去。

僕人回答他們：“你們不要挽留我，耶和華既然使我的道路亨通，就請打發我回到我主人那裡去。”

對別人來說，我或許不是使徒，但對你們來說，我總是使徒，因為你們就是我在主裡作使徒的印記。

也沒有白吃過誰的飯，反而辛苦勞碌，晝夜作工，免得加重你們任何一人的負擔。這不是因為我們沒有權利，而是要給你們作榜樣，好讓你們效法我們。

所以你們應當警醒，記念我三年之久，晝夜不停地帶著眼淚勸戒你們各人。現在我把你們交託給神和他恩惠的道；這道能建立你們，也能在所有成聖的人中賜基業給你們。我從來沒有貪圖任何人的金銀或衣服。我這兩隻手，供應了我和同伴的需要，這是你們自己知道的。

我寫這些話，不是要叫你們羞愧，而是把你們當作我親愛的兒女一樣勸戒你們。縱然你們在基督裡有上萬的啟蒙教師，可是父親卻不多，因為是我在基督耶穌裡藉著福音生了你們。

也沒有向你們或別人求取人的榮譽。我們身為基督使徒的，雖然有權利受人尊敬，但我們在你們中間卻是謙和的，就像母親乳養自己的孩子。

如果有人奴役你們，侵吞、榨取你們，向你們趾高氣揚，打你們的臉，你們就容忍吧！

除了我自己沒有成為你們的重擔以外，你們還有甚麼比不上別的教會呢？這一點委屈，請原諒我吧！好了，我打算第三次到你們那裡去，這一次也不會成為你們的重擔，因為我所要的不是你們的東西，而是你們自己。兒女不需要為父母積財，父母卻應該為兒女積財。
