For though there are things that are called“ gods”, whether in the heavens or on earth; as there are many“ gods” and many“ lords”;

雖然有被稱為神的，無論在天上或在地上（就如有許多的“神”許多的“主”），

因為雖或有所謂神的——或是在天、或是在地，就如那許多的「神」、許多的「主」——

因為，就算真有所謂的神明——無論在天上或在地上，好像有許多的「神」和許多的「主」——

雖稱神者不一、或在天、或在地、如有多神多主、

天地間、稱上帝雖不一、蓋在人觀之、有多上帝多主、

雖有稱為神者、或在天、或在地、即人所信之多神、多主、

世之所謂『天神』『地祇、』亦已多矣；

For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth( as indeed there are many“ gods” and many“ lords”),

However at that time, not knowing God, you were in bondage to those who by nature are not gods.

For Yahweh your God, he is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn’t respect persons or take bribes.
