雖然在天上或地上有許多所謂的神明，就如他們中間有許多的神明，許多的主，

雖有稱為神的，或在天，或在地，就如那許多的神，許多的主；

雖然天上地上有許多被稱為神的，好像有許多神、許多主，

雖然有被稱為神的，無論在天上或在地上（就如有許多的“神”許多的“主”），

因為雖或有所謂神的——或是在天、或是在地，就如那許多的「神」、許多的「主」——

因為，就算真有所謂的神明——無論在天上或在地上，好像有許多的「神」和許多的「主」——

雖稱神者不一、或在天、或在地、如有多神多主、

天地間、稱上帝雖不一、蓋在人觀之、有多上帝多主、

雖有稱為神者、或在天、或在地、即人所信之多神、多主、

世之所謂『天神』『地祇、』亦已多矣；

那抵擋者高抬自己超過一切稱為神明的，和一切受人敬拜的，甚至坐在上帝的殿裏，自稱為上帝。

但從前不認識上帝的時候，你們是給那些本來不是上帝的神明作奴隸；

因為耶和華－你們的上帝是萬神之神，萬主之主，是偉大、強有力、可畏的上帝，不看人的情面，也不受賄賂。

他們飲酒，讚美金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石造的神明。

耶穌回答他們：「你們的律法書上不是寫着『我曾說你們是諸神』嗎？經上的話是不能廢的；如果那些領受上帝的道的人，上帝尚且稱他們為諸神，

猶大啊，你神明的數目與你城鎮的數目相等；你所築可恥的壇，就是向巴力燒香的壇，也與耶路撒冷街道的數目相等。

豈有一國換了它的神明嗎？其實那不是神明！但我的百姓將他們的榮耀換了那無益的東西。

你為自己做的神明在哪裏呢？你遭遇患難的時候，讓它們起來拯救你吧！猶大啊，你神明的數目與你城的數目相等。
