So, what about eating meat that has been offered to idols? Well, we all know that an idol is not really a god and that there is only one God.

About eating food sacrificed to idols, then, we know that“ an idol is nothing in the world,” and that“ there is no God but one.”

Therefore, concerning the eating of food sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing at all in the world, and that there is no God but one.

Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.

Concerning therefore the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no God but one.

About eating food offered to idols, then, we know that“ an idol is nothing in the world,” and that“ there is no God but one.”

As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol[ is] nothing in the world, and that[ there is] none other God but one.

And you see and hear how this fellow Paul has convinced and led astray large numbers of people here in Ephesus and in practically the whole province of Asia. He says that gods made by human hands are no gods at all. (niv)

Do I mean then that food sacrificed to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything?No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. (niv)

But their idols are silver and gold, made by human hands.They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see.They have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but cannot smell.They have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but cannot walk, nor can they utter a sound with their throats.Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them. (niv)

Now, Lord our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, Lord, are the only God.” (niv)

yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. (niv)

Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that“ We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up. (niv)

Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.”All who make idols are nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless. Those who would speak up for them are blind; they are ignorant, to their own shame. (niv)

Everyone is senseless and without knowledge; every goldsmith is shamed by his idols. The images he makes are a fraud; they have no breath in them. (niv)

But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King. When he is angry, the earth trembles; the nations cannot endure his wrath. (niv)
