Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?If I am not an apostle to others, at least I am to you, for you are the confirming sign of my apostleship in the Lord.This is my defense to those who examine me.

Now with regard to the issues you wrote about:“ It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.”

Consequently the one who rejects this is not rejecting human authority but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

I am saying this for your benefit, not to place a limitation on you, but so that without distraction you may give notable and constant service to the Lord.
