不要和非信徒同負一軛，因為公義和不法怎能合作呢？光明和黑暗怎能共存呢？基督與魔鬼怎能相容呢？信徒與非信徒有什麼相干呢？上帝的殿與偶像怎能相提並論呢？因為我們就是永活上帝的殿，正如上帝說：「我要住在他們中間，在他們當中往來；我要作他們的上帝，他們要作我的子民。」

倘若不信的一方堅持要離開的話，就讓他離開好了。無論是弟兄或姊妹遇到這樣的事情都不必勉強。上帝呼召我們，原是要我們和睦相處。

我也吩咐那些已婚的人，其實不是我吩咐，而是主吩咐：妻子不可離開丈夫，

猶大人不忠貞，在以色列和耶路撒冷做了可憎的事，他們娶信奉外邦神明的女子為妻，褻瀆了耶和華所愛的聖所。

上帝的兒子們看見人的女兒漂亮，就隨意選來做妻子。

不可與他們通婚，不可讓你們的兒女與他們的兒女通婚，因為他們會讓你們的兒女離棄耶和華去拜其他神明，以致耶和華向你們發怒，迅速毀滅你們。
