and those who use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away.

用世物的，要像不用世物，因为这世界的样子将要过去了。

享受这世界的，不像在享受这世界；因为这世界的局面将要过去了。

those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away.

Those who use the things of the world should not become all wrapped up in them. The world as it now exists is passing away.

and those who deal with the world as though they had no dealings with it. For the present form of this world is passing away.

Those who use the things of the world should not become attached to them. For this world as we know it will soon pass away.

and those who use the world as though they did not make full use of it. For this world in its current form is passing away.

and those who use the world, as though they did not make full use of it; for the present form of this world is passing away.

and those that use the world, as not using it to the full: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

And they that use this world, as not abusing[ it]: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.

“ But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.

Surely every man walks about like a shadow; Surely they busy themselves in vain; He heaps up riches, And does not know who will gather them.

because“ All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away,

Go, eat your bread with joy, And drink your wine with a merry heart; For God has already accepted your works.Let your garments always be white, And let your head lack no oil.Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun.Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.

whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives,and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor— it is the gift of God.

What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.

One generation passes away, and another generation comes; But the earth abides forever.

And He said to them,“ Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”Then He spoke a parable to them, saying:“ The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully.And he thought within himself, saying,‘ What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’So he said,‘ I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods.And I will say to my soul,“ Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.”’But God said to him,‘ Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’“ So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

“ For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them.And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.And likewise he who had received two gained two more also.But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money.After a long time the Lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.“ So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying,‘ Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’His Lord said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’He also who had received two talents came and said,‘ Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’His Lord said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’“ Then he who had received the one talent came and said,‘ Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed.And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’“ But his Lord answered and said to him,‘ You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.‘ For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

And he said to him,‘ Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’And the second came, saying,‘ Master, your mina has earned five minas.’Likewise he said to him,‘ You also be over five cities.’“ Then another came, saying,‘ Master, here is your mina, which I have kept put away in a handkerchief.For I feared you, because you are an austere man. You collect what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’And he said to him,‘ Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow.Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?’“ And he said to those who stood by,‘ Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.’( But they said to him,‘ Master, he has ten minas.’)‘ For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share,

but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.

Here is what I have seen: It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage.As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor— this is the gift of God.For he will not dwell unduly on the days of his life, because God keeps him busy with the joy of his heart.

Give a serving to seven, and also to eight, For you do not know what evil will be on the earth.

Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you!Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days.Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter.

But if that evil servant says in his heart,‘ My master is delaying his coming,’and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,

He also said to His disciples:“ There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and an accusation was brought to him that this man was wasting his goods.So he called him and said to him,‘ What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.’

As a dream when one awakes, So, Lord, when You awake, You shall despise their image.

Nothing is better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and that his soul should enjoy good in his labor. This also, I saw, was from the hand of God.For who can eat, or who can have enjoyment, more than I?

Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; Walk in the ways of your heart, And in the sight of your eyes; But know that for all these God will bring you into judgment.Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, And put away evil from your flesh, For childhood and youth are vanity.
