兄弟乎、吾言今而後、窘逼之時也、故有妻者、當如無妻、

What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they do not;

曰、耶和華兮、以我身之終、在世之日、指示於我、俾知生命之靡常兮、予之生命、廣約一掌、自爾視之、一若無物、人雖完體、實則氣而已。各人所為、無非捉影、諠譟徒勞兮、積累財貨、不知孰得兮。我望伊何、實惟主兮、

事之大略、爾其聽之、寅畏上帝、守其誡命、此人之大端。上帝必鞫萬事、彰其隱微、或善或惡、加以賞罰。

人之沒世、譬諸夢寐、譬諸草之萌櫱兮、清晨向榮、芽發蕊舒、至夕翦刈、遂槁枯兮、爾震怒、則余毀傷兮、爾發憤、則予驚惶兮、余有罪愆、爾癉之兮、余有隱慝、爾相之兮、爾怒奮揚、余壽俱亡、歲月易過、恍若中心之轉念兮、人生歲數、無過七十、如體壯健、可冀八旬、雖以遐齡自詡、而已晚景之彌艱、生命將絕、如鳥高飛、倏忽不見兮、

有聲告我曰、爾當號呼、我曰、呼當若何、曰、庶民惟草、其榮如花、庶民惟草、草枯花凋、耶和華以風風之、則然、草枯花凋、惟我上帝之言不朽。

經云、世人惟草、其榮如花、草枯花謝、

且爾竭心思、為所當為、轉瞬之間、即歸於土、在彼無工作、無計謀、無智慧。

末期伊邇、故當廉節、儆醒祈禱、

良朋當思之、主觀一日猶千年、千年猶一日、主既言矣、必不遲行、人視主為濡滯、主實寛我、欲人悔改、不欲人沉淪、

人本摶土所為、死則返本、人之魂靈為上帝所賦畀、死則歸乎上帝。○傳道者曰、我觀萬事、空之又空、虛之又虛。

人生斯世、歷日無幾、如影沉西、逝世之後、不識復有何事、以是觀之、安在所謂真福。

耶和華使斯土荒蕪、國家傾覆、居民離散、若庶人若祭司、若僕若主、若婢女、若主母、若鬻諸人、若購於人、若貸人以金、若借人之金、若得子母、若納子母者、俱必流離失所、

人乃婦女誕育、既不永年、且多憂慮。若花之向榮、而遭翦伐、若影之倏忽、而無定在。

人之生也、譬彼草萊、欣欣以向榮兮、疾風一吹、立見凋枯、無從覓跡兮、
