人人都应该尊重婚姻，婚床也不要玷污，因为神一定审判淫乱的和奸淫的人。

我愿你们无所挂虑。没有娶妻子的人，挂念的是主的事，想怎样去得主喜悦；但娶了妻子的人是为世上的事挂虑，想怎样去讨妻子的欢心，这样他就分心了。没有结婚的妇女和守独身的女子，挂念的是主的事，好让身体和心灵都成为圣洁；但结了婚的妇女是为世上的事挂虑，想怎样去讨丈夫的欢心。我说这话，是为了你们自己的益处；我不是要限制你们，而是要你们作合宜的事，一心一意地对主忠诚。如果有人认为是亏待了自己的女朋友，她也过了结婚的年龄，而他觉得应当结婚，他就可以照着自己的意思去作，这不是犯罪；他们应该结婚。

我呼求神给我作证，我没有再到哥林多来，是要宽容你们。

为了目前的困难，我认为人最好能保持现状。
