You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings.

Christ has paid the price for you. Don’t become slaves of human beings.

You were bought with a price; do not become bondservants of men.

God paid a high price for you, so don’t be enslaved by the world.

And they* sang a new song, saying,“ Worthy are You to take the scroll and to break its seals; for You were slaughtered, and You purchased people for God with Your blood from every tribe, language, people, and nation.

Yet it was a concern because of the false brothers secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy on our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to enslave us.

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers,but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

But as for you, do not be called Rabbi; for only One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers and sisters.And do not call anyone on earth your father; for only One is your Father, He who is in heaven.And do not be called leaders; for only One is your Leader, that is, Christ.But the greatest of you shall be your servant.
