永恆主的話傳與我，說：『人若把妻子離出去，而妻子離開他而去，做了別人的妻子，她哪能再回轉來歸前夫呢？那麼那婦人豈不是大大被玷污了麼？然而你，你和許多情人行淫，還要回轉來歸於我？永恆主發神諭說。

有人詰問他說：『人離棄妻子可以不可以？』意思是要試探他。
