夫爾曹相訟、其失已甚、盍寧受枉受虧乎、

爾曹爭訟、其過大矣、孰若受害受虧為美、

爾彼此爭訟、已為爾之大過、何不忍以受欺、何不忍以受虧乎、

又有進者、兄弟間有爭訟之事、已屬不是；孰若甘心抱屈、犯而不校之為善乎？

The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?

When you take another believer to court, you have lost the battle already. Why not be treated wrongly? Why not be cheated?

Even to have such lawsuits with one another is a defeat for you. Why not just accept the injustice and leave it at that? Why not let yourselves be cheated?

As it is, to have legal disputes against one another is already a defeat for you. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?

Actually, then, it is already a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits with one another. Why not rather suffer the wrong? Why not rather be defrauded?

Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated?

Nay, already it is altogether a defect in you, that ye have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather take wrong? why not rather be defrauded?

Therefore, to have legal disputes against one another is already a moral failure for you. Why not rather put up with injustice? Why not rather be cheated?

Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather[ suffer yourselves to] be defrauded?

The fact that you have lawsuits among yourselves demonstrates that you have already been defeated. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?

Therefore it is already altogether a defect in you, that you have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?

Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written,“ Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.

For this is a gracious thing, when, mindful of God, one endures sorrows while suffering unjustly.For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure? But if when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God.For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth.When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.

Do not say,“ I will repay evil”; wait for the Lord, and he will deliver you.

But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well.And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.

What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you?You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.

See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.

To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either.

guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path;for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;

Their heart is false; now they must bear their guilt. The Lord will break down their altars and destroy their pillars.

then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
