乃兄弟與兄弟相訟、且於不信者前歟、

而必欲對簿於外教人之前乎？

But instead, one brother takes another to court— and this in front of unbelievers!

Instead, one believer goes to court against another. And this happens in front of unbelievers!

but brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?

But instead, one believer sues another— right in front of unbelievers!

Instead, brother goes to court against brother, and that before unbelievers!

But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers!

but brother goeth to law with brother, and that before unbelievers?

Instead, believer goes to court against believer, and that before unbelievers!

But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.

Instead, does a Christian sue a Christian, and do this before unbelievers?

But brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers!

And on the following day he appeared to them as they were fighting each other, and he tried to reconcile them to peace, by saying,‘ Men, you are brothers, why are you injuring each other?’

Do all things without complaining or arguments;so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,

Actually, then, it is already a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits with one another. Why not rather suffer the wrong? Why not rather be defrauded?

So he sent his brothers away, and as they departed, he said to them,“ Do not quarrel on the journey.”

The one who says that he is in the Light and yet hates his brother or sister is in the darkness until now.The one who loves his brother and sister remains in the Light, and there is nothing in him to cause stumbling.But the one who hates his brother or sister is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

Do not be mismatched with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness share together, or what does light have in common with darkness?

And there was strife between the herdsmen of Abram’s livestock and the herdsmen of Lot’s livestock. Now the Canaanites and the Perizzites were living in the land at that time.So Abram said to Lot,“ Please let there be no strife between you and me, nor between my herdsmen and your herdsmen, for we are relatives!Is the entire land not before you? Please separate from me; if you choose the left, then I will go to the right; or if you choose the right, then I will go to the left.”

For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we are to love one another;not as Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And for what reason did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil, but his brother’s were righteous.Do not be surprised, brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers and sisters. The one who does not love remains in death.Everyone who hates his brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him.

And I said to them,“ We, according to our ability, have redeemed our Jewish brothers who were sold to the nations; now would you even sell your brothers that they may be sold to us?” Then they were silent and could not find a word to say.So I said,“ The thing which you are doing is not good; should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the taunting of the nations, our enemies?

Does any one of you, when he has a case against his neighbor, dare to go to law before the unrighteous and not before the saints?

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to live together in unity!It is like the precious oil on the head, Running down upon the beard, As on Aaron’s beard, The oil which ran down upon the edge of his robes.It is like the dew of Hermon Coming down upon the mountains of Zion; For the Lord commanded the blessing there— life forever.
