You say,“ Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

你們不知道你們的身體就是那位住在你們裡面的聖靈的殿嗎？這聖靈是你們從神那裡領受的。你們不是屬於自己的，

難道不知道你們是神的殿，神的靈住在你們裡面嗎？

所以，不要容罪在你們必死的肉身上掌權，使你們順從肉身的私慾，

難道不知道一切進到口裡的，是進到肚腹，然後排泄到外面﹙“外面”或譯：“廁所”。﹚去嗎？

因為丈夫是妻子的頭，好像基督是教會的頭；基督又是教會全體的救主。

你們不知道你們的身體就是基督的肢體嗎？這樣，我們可以把基督的肢體當作娼妓的肢體嗎？當然不可以！

神的旨意是要你們聖潔，遠避淫行；要你們各人曉得怎樣用聖潔尊貴的方法保守自己的身體（“身體”原文作“器皿”）；不要放縱邪情私慾，像那些不認識神的外族人一樣；誰也不要在這事上越軌，佔弟兄的便宜，因為這一類的事，主必報應。這是我們從前告訴過你們，又嚴嚴警戒過你們的。神呼召我們，不是要我們沾染污穢，而是要我們聖潔。

（這一切東西，一經使用，就都朽壞了。）這些規條是照著人的命令和教訓而定的，在隨著己意敬拜，故作謙卑，和苦待己身等事上，似乎是智慧之言，其實只能叫人放縱肉體，再沒有任何價值。

因為神的國不在於吃喝，而在於公義、和睦，以及聖靈裡的喜樂。

因為不是進到他的心，而是進到他的肚腹，再排泄到外面（“外面”或譯：“廁所”）去。”（他這樣說是表示各樣食物都是潔淨的。）

不要為那必朽壞的食物操勞，卻要為那存到永生的食物操勞，就是人子所要賜給你們的，因為人子是父神所印證的。”

我們沒有一個人為自己活，也沒有一個人為自己死。我們若活著，是為主而活；我們若死了，是為主而死。所以，我們無論活著或是死了，總是屬於主的人。為了這緣故，基督死了，又活過來，就是要作死人和活人的主。

所以弟兄們，我憑著神的仁慈勸你們，要把身體獻上，作聖潔而蒙神悅納的活祭；這是你們理所當然的事奉（“理所當然的事奉”或譯：“屬靈的敬拜”）。

你們的祖宗在曠野吃過嗎哪，還是死了。

這樣，我的弟兄們，你們藉著基督的身體，對律法來說也已經死了，使你們歸屬另一位，就是那從死人中復活的，為的是要我們結果子給神。

他替眾人死了，為的是要使活著的人不再為自己活著，卻為那替他們死而復活的主而活。

這些才會使人污穢，不洗手吃飯卻不會這樣。”

他們都吃了一樣的靈糧，都喝了一樣的靈水；他們所喝的，是從那隨著他們的靈磐石那裡來的，這磐石就是基督。但他們大多數的人，都得不到神的喜悅，因此他們都死在曠野。
