作盜賊、貪污、沉湎、謗人、勒索之徒、未有能承受天主之國者也。

nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Neither will thieves or those who always want more and more. Neither will those who are often drunk or tell lies or cheat. People who live like that will not receive God’s kingdom.

吾意乃謂苟有自名為吾道中人、而猶淫亂、慳吝、迷信、慢罵、狂飲、勒索、誅求也、若此之人、應羞與為伍、雖拒與同席可也。

迷惑異端、嫉妒殘殺、沉醉荒宴等類皆是。吾夙已言之、今復鄭重相告、凡行此等事者、必不得承受天主之國也。

嗟爾虺蝮之種將何以逃於地獄之刑乎？

竊者勿可復竊、寧親手操作、以務正業；有餘且可周人之急。

兄弟慎毋以殺人竊盜、為非作惡、或捨己耘人而受苦也。

然彼作斯言非在恤貧、蓋其貪污成性、掌囊而恆竊所貯耳。

而侵害兄弟、欺負兄弟、皆天主所不容、報應孔邇；此點吾儕前已鄭重言之。

吾言如充耳。不復懷大法。盜賊為同黨。奸非是所狎。

哀哉爾經生與法利塞人、虛偽之徒也！爾曹向眾緊閉天國、己既不進、又阻人之進。

見道旁鳳菓樹、就而覓菓、無所得、但有叢葉、乃曰：『願爾從此永不結實！』樹頓枯。
