爾中有相爭之事、何敢訟於不義者前、而不訟於聖徒前乎、

兄弟間如有訟案、理當請聖徒決斷；豈有逕向不義者請求裁判者乎？

If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people?

Suppose one of you wants to bring a charge against another believer. Should you take it to ungodly people to be judged? Why not take it to the Lord’s people?

When one of you has a grievance against another, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints?

When one of you has a dispute with another believer, how dare you file a lawsuit and ask a secular court to decide the matter instead of taking it to other believers!

If any of you has a dispute against another, how dare you take it to court before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

Does any one of you, when he has a case against his neighbor, dare to go to law before the unrighteous and not before the saints?

Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

If any of you has a legal dispute against another, do you dare go to court before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

If then Demetrius and the craftsmen who are with him have a complaint against someone, the courts are open and there are proconsuls; let them bring charges against one another there.

But just as Paul was about to speak, Gallio said to the Jews,“ If it were a matter of some crime or serious piece of villainy, I would have been justified in accepting the complaint of you Jews,but since it concerns points of disagreement about words and names and your own law, settle it yourselves. I will not be a judge of these things!”

Instead, does a Christian sue a Christian, and do this before unbelievers?The fact that you have lawsuits among yourselves demonstrates that you have already been defeated. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?

for God is not characterized by disorder but by peace. As in all the churches of the saints,

“ If your brother sins, go and show him his fault when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have regained your brother.But if he does not listen, take one or two others with you, so that at the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be established.If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. If he refuses to listen to the church, treat him like a Gentile or a tax collector.

With regard to the collection for the saints, please follow the directions that I gave to the churches of Galatia:

Now, brothers and sisters, you know about the household of Stephanus, that as the first converts of Achaia, they devoted themselves to ministry for the saints. I urge you

to the church of God that is in Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, and called to be saints, with all those in every place who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours.
