爾猶自矜、而不哀傷、使行此者見擯於爾中、

猶妄自誇大、而不痛哭、使斁倫者、見擯於爾中、

爾猶妄自誇大、而不痛哭、使行此者、見除於爾中、

爾等尚驕矜自滿、而不痛自懲創、毅然擯絕如此亂倫忤逆之子耶。

And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have gone into mourning and have put out of your fellowship the man who has been doing this?

And you are proud! Shouldn’t you be very sad instead? Shouldn’t you have thrown out of your church the man doing this?

And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you.

You are so proud of yourselves, but you should be mourning in sorrow and shame. And you should remove this man from your fellowship.

And you are arrogant! Shouldn’t you be filled with grief and remove from your congregation the one who did this?

And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you.

And ye are puffed up, and did not rather mourn, that he that had done this deed might be taken away from among you.

And you are inflated with pride, instead of filled with grief so that he who has committed this act might be removed from your congregation.

But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond servants astray so that they commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her sexual immorality.Behold, I will throw her on a bed of sickness, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds.

And the Lord said to him,“ Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and make a mark on the foreheads of the people who groan and sigh over all the abominations which are being committed in its midst.”

For this matter is your responsibility, but we will be with you; be courageous and act.”Then Ezra stood and made the leading priests, the Levites, and all Israel take an oath that they would do according to this proposal; so they took the oath.Then Ezra rose from before the house of God and went into the chamber of Jehohanan the son of Eliashib. Although he went there, he did not eat bread nor drink water, because he was mourning over the unfaithfulness of the exiles.

Now these things, brothers and sisters, I have figuratively applied to myself and Apollos on your account, so that in us you may learn not to exceed what is written, so that no one of you will become arrogant in behalf of one against the other.For who considers you as superior? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?You are already filled, you have already become rich, you have become kings without us; and indeed, I wish that you had become kings so that we also might reign with you!

Then behold, one of the sons of Israel came and brought to his relatives a Midianite woman, in the sight of Moses and in the sight of the whole congregation of the sons of Israel, while they were weeping at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

I am afraid that when I come again my God may humiliate me before you, and I may mourn over many of those who have sinned in the past and not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and indecent behavior which they have practiced.

Now some have become arrogant, as though I were not coming to you.
