But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so called brother if he is a sexually immoral person, or a greedy person, or an idolater, or is verbally abusive, or habitually drunk, or a swindler— not even to eat with such a person.

今我以書遺爾、若有名為兄弟、而淫亂、貪婪、拜像、詬詈、沉湎、殘酷、則勿與之交、亦勿與之共食、

我今致書勸爾、若有稱為兄弟者而行淫、或貪婪、或拜偶像、或詬詈、或醉酒、或勒索、如此之人、勿與之交、勿與之共食、

吾意乃謂苟有自名為吾道中人、而猶淫亂、慳吝、迷信、慢罵、狂飲、勒索、誅求也、若此之人、應羞與為伍、雖拒與同席可也。

But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

But here is what I am writing to you now. You must stay away from anyone who claims to be a believer but does evil things. Stay away from anyone who commits sexual sins. Stay away from anyone who always wants more and more things. Stay away from anyone who worships statues of gods. Stay away from anyone who tells lies about others. Stay away from anyone who gets drunk or who cheats. Don’t even eat with people like these.

But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler— not even to eat with such a one.

I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.

But as it is, I wrote to you not to associate with anyone who is called a brother who is a sexual sinner, or covetous, or an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard, or an extortionist. Don’t even eat with such a person.

Now we command you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother or sister who leads a disorderly life and not one in accordance with the tradition which you received from us.

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.

And if he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, he is to be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.

If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of that person so as not to associate with him, so that he will be put to shame.

But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the evil person from among yourselves.

Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral persons, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and sexual immorality of such a kind as does not exist even among the Gentiles, namely, that someone has his father’s wife.You have become arrogant and have not mourned instead, so that the one who had done this deed would be removed from your midst.For I, on my part, though absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged him who has so committed this, as though I were present.In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, and I with you in spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus,I have decided to turn such a person over to Satan for the destruction of his body, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough?Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed.Therefore let’s celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people;I did not at all mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the greedy and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to leave the world.

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior,idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions,envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But for the cowardly, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and sexually immoral persons, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

For this you know with certainty, that no sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, which amounts to an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

For from within, out of the hearts of people, come the evil thoughts, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, acts of adultery,deeds of greed, wickedness, deceit, indecent behavior, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness.All these evil things come from within and defile the person.”

not overindulging in wine, not a bully, but gentle, not contentious, free from the love of money.

For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, get drunk at night.But since we are of the day, let’s be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.

nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

Let’s behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and debauchery, not in strife and jealousy.

But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond servants astray so that they commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.

But He said to them,“ Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one is affluent does his life consist of his possessions.”And He told them a parable, saying,“ The land of a rich man was very productive.And he began thinking to himself, saying,‘ What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?’And he said,‘ This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and I will store all my grain and my goods there.And I will say to myself,“ You have many goods stored up for many years to come; relax, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself!” ’But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your soul is demanded of you; and as for all that you have prepared, who will own it now?’Such is the one who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich in relation to God.”And He said to His disciples,“ For this reason I tell you, do not worry about your life, as to what you are to eat; nor for your body, as to what you are to wear.For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.Consider the ravens, that they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!And which of you by worrying can add a day to his life’s span?Therefore if you cannot do even a very little thing, why do you worry about the other things?Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither labor nor spin; but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.Now if God so clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you? You of little faith!And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not keep worrying.For all these things are what the nations of the world eagerly seek; and your Father knows that you need these things.But seek His kingdom, and these things will be provided to you.

but brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers?

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of robbery and self indulgence.

having eyes full of adultery that never cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having hearts trained in greed, accursed children;abandoning the right way, they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the reward of unrighteousness;

Among you they have taken bribes to shed blood; you have taken interest, you have injured your neighbors by oppression, and you have forgotten Me,” declares the Lord God.

“ But be on your guard, so that your hearts will not be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that this day will not come on you suddenly, like a trap;

Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.

Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written:“ The people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.”Nor are we to commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and twenty three thousand fell in one day.

Look at the people of Israel; are those who eat the sacrifices not partners in the altar?What do I mean then? That food sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?No, but I say that things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not want you to become partners with demons.You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? We are not stronger than He, are we?

But to the wicked God says,“ What right do you have to tell of My statutes And to take My covenant in your mouth?For you yourself hate discipline, And you throw My words behind you.When you see a thief, you become friends with him, And you associate with adulterers.You let your mouth loose in evil, And your tongue harnesses deceit.You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother’s son.These things you have done and I kept silent; You thought that I was just like you; I will rebuke you and present the case before your eyes.

Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will destroy; I will not endure one who has a haughty look and an arrogant heart.

and he begins to beat his fellow slaves, and he eats and drinks with those habitually drunk;then the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know,and he will cut him in two and assign him a place with the hypocrites; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

For through your knowledge the one who is weak is ruined, the brother or sister for whose sake Christ died.

Therefore, treat the parts of your earthly body as dead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.

and constant friction between people of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain.

But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap, and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge people into ruin and destruction.For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

The Pharisee stood and began praying this in regard to himself:‘ God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, crooked, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.

Yet if the unbelieving one is leaving, let him leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace.

For the wicked boasts of his soul’s desire, And the greedy person curses and shows disrespect to the Lord.

for when you eat, each one takes his own supper first; and one goes hungry while another gets drunk.

For I am afraid that perhaps when I come I may find you to be not what I wish, and may be found by you to be not what you wish; that perhaps there will be strife, jealousy, angry tempers, selfishness, slanders, gossip, arrogance, disturbances;I am afraid that when I come again my God may humiliate me before you, and I may mourn over many of those who have sinned in the past and not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and indecent behavior which they have practiced.

So Ananias departed and entered the house, and after laying his hands on him said,“ Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality;that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God;and that no one violate the rights and take advantage of his brother or sister in the matter, because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you previously and solemnly warned you.For God has not called us for impurity, but in sanctification.Therefore, the one who rejects this is not rejecting man, but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you.

But I have a few things against you, because you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit sexual immorality.

But if that slave says in his heart,‘ My master will take a long time to come,’ and he begins to beat the other slaves, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk;then the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know, and will cut him in two, and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

And do not get drunk with wine, in which there is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,

But to the rest I say, not the Lord, that if any brother has an unbelieving wife, and she consents to live with him, he must not divorce her.

For prior to the coming of some men from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he began to withdraw and separate himself, fearing those from the circumcision.
