智慧人在哪裡？經學家在哪裡？今世的辯士在哪裡？神不是使屬世的智慧變成了愚笨嗎？

“你從世上分別出來賜給我的人，我已經把你的名顯明給他們了。他們是你的，你把他們賜給了我，他們也遵守了你的道。

好使你們無可指摘、純真無邪，在這彎曲乖謬的世代中，作神沒有瑕疵的兒女；你們要在這世代中發光，好像天上的光體一樣，

你們是世上的光。建在山上的城是無法隱藏的；人點了燈，不會放在量器底下，而是放在燈臺上，就照亮一家人。照樣，你們的光也應當照在人前，讓他們看見你們的好行為，又頌讚你們在天上的父。
