Many of the Corinthians, when they heard, believed and were baptized.The Lord said to Paul in the night by a vision,“ Don’t be afraid, but speak and don’t be silent;for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many people in this city.”He lived there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul, having passed through the upper country, came to Ephesus and found certain disciples.

A certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, one who worshiped God, heard us. The Lord opened her heart to listen to the things which were spoken by Paul.

Now a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by race, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus. He was mighty in the Scriptures.

You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men,being revealed that you are a letter of Christ, served by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tablets of stone, but in tablets that are hearts of flesh.Such confidence we have through Christ toward God,not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God,

They are planted in Yahweh’s house. They will flourish in our God’s courts.They will still produce fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green,to show that Yahweh is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

For I will not dare to speak of any things except those which Christ worked through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,

When he had greeted them, he reported one by one the things which God had worked among the Gentiles through his ministry.

God has spoken once; twice I have heard this, that power belongs to God.

Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain.

and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.

For as the earth produces its bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring up, so the Lord Yahweh will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.

What soldier ever serves at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard, and doesn’t eat of its fruit? Or who feeds a flock, and doesn’t drink from the flock’s milk?Do I speak these things according to the ways of men? Or doesn’t the law also say the same thing?For it is written in the law of Moses,“ You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it for the oxen that God cares,or does he say it assuredly for our sake? Yes, it was written for our sake, because he who plows ought to plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should partake of his hope.If we sowed to you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we reap your fleshly things?

Now I declare to you, brothers, the Good News which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand,by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you— unless you believed in vain.For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.Then he appeared to over five hundred brothers at once, most of whom remain until now, but some have also fallen asleep.Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,and last of all, as to the child born at the wrong time, he appeared to me also.For I am the least of the apostles, who is not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the assembly of God.But by the grace of God I am what I am. His grace which was given to me was not futile, but I worked more than all of them; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.Whether then it is I or they, so we preach, and so you believed.

For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth, and makes it grow and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater;so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.
