What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe— as the Lord has assigned to each his task.

But as God’s ministers, we commend ourselves in everything: by great endurance, by afflictions, by hardship, by difficulties,

Based on the gift each one has received, use it to serve others, as good managers of the varied grace of God.

He has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit produces life.

According to God’s grace that was given to me, I have laid a foundation as a skilled master builder, and another builds on it. But each one must be careful how he builds on it.

Are they servants of Christ? I’m talking like a madman— I’m a better one: with far more labors, many more imprisonments, far worse beatings, near death many times.

For we are not proclaiming ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves because of Jesus.

I have become its servant, according to God’s administration that was given to me for you, to make God’s message fully known,

For if I do this willingly, I have a reward, but if unwillingly, I am entrusted with a stewardship.

A person should consider us in this way: as servants of Christ and managers of God’s mysteries.In this regard, it is expected of managers that each one of them be found faithful.

And God has placed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, next miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, managing, various kinds of languages.

So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.

But how can they call on Him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher?And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things!

It is clear that you are Christ’s letter, produced by us, not written with ink but with the Spirit of the living God— not on stone tablets but on tablets that are hearts of flesh.

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us.

I was made a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the working of His power.

just as the original eyewitnesses and servants of the word handed them down to us.

Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.There are different ministries, but the same Lord.And there are different activities, but the same God activates each gift in each person.A demonstration of the Spirit is given to each person to produce what is beneficial:to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit, to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit,to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit,to another, the performing of miracles, to another, prophecy, to another, distinguishing between spirits, to another, different kinds of languages, to another, interpretation of languages.But one and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as He wills.

For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one.Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function,in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another.According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the standard of one’s faith;

Working together with Him, we also appeal to you,“ Don’t receive God’s grace in vain.”
