You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?

You are still following the ways of the world. Some of you are jealous. Some of you argue. So aren’t you following the ways of the world? Aren’t you acting like ordinary human beings?

for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?

for you are still controlled by your sinful nature. You are jealous of one another and quarrel with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled by your sinful nature? Aren’t you living like people of the world?

for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like ordinary people?

for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

for ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you jealousy and strife, are ye not carnal, and do ye not walk after the manner of men?

because you are still fleshly. For since there is envy and strife among you, are you not fleshly and living like unbelievers?

However, if you continually bite and devour one another, beware that you are not consumed by one another.

You were taught with reference to your former way of life to lay aside the old man who is being corrupted in accordance with deceitful desires,to be renewed in the spirit of your mind,and to put on the new man who has been created in God’s image– in righteousness and holiness that comes from truth.

When any of you has a legal dispute with another, does he dare go to court before the unrighteous rather than before the saints?Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you not competent to settle trivial suits?Do you not know that we will judge angels? Why not ordinary matters!So if you have ordinary lawsuits, do you appoint as judges those who have no standing in the church?I say this to your shame! Is there no one among you wise enough to settle disputes between fellow Christians?Instead, does a Christian sue a Christian, and do this before unbelievers?The fact that you have lawsuits among yourselves demonstrates that you have already been defeated. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?But you yourselves wrong and cheat, and you do this to your brothers and sisters!

Let us live decently as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in discord and jealousy.

At Adam they broke the covenant; Oh how they were unfaithful to me!

For from within, out of the human heart, come evil ideas, sexual immorality, theft, murder,adultery, greed, evil, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, pride, and folly.
