蓋吾人決不作自我宣傳、惟知宣揚吾主耶穌基督；而吾人則因耶穌之故、而充爾等之僕人者耳。

自予觀之、生是基督死是福、如是而已矣。

恩澤所被、或為宗徒。或為先知、或傳福音、或充監牧、師傅、異曲同工、皆為作育聖徒、供役教會、建成基督之體、

雖然、賴愛我者之大力、吾人已戰勝一切災害、且綽綽乎有餘裕矣。蓋吾深信無論死也、生也、天神也、權威也、現在之事也、未來之事也、宇宙間之一切勢力也、浩浩之天、淵淵之淵、以及其他一切受造之物也、皆不能使吾人與天主之愛、須臾相離。是愛也、實存乎吾主耶穌基督之身。

夫亞波羅何人耶？葆樂何人耶？不過天主之僕、銜主之命、各盡其能、以使爾等信奉真道者耳。我種植之、亞波羅從而灌溉之；而使其發榮滋長者、則天主也。種植者與灌溉者均不足貴也；所可貴者惟賜其發榮滋長之天主耳。夫種植者與灌溉者原屬一體、且亦必各得其工作之酬勞。
