Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become“ fools” so that you may become wise.

禍哉！那些在自己眼中有智慧，在自己面前有通達的人。

你要專心仰賴耶和華，不可倚靠自己的聰明，

人若沒有甚麼了不起，還自以為了不起的，就是自欺。

因為十字架的道理，在那滅亡的人是愚拙，在我們得救的人卻是上帝的大能。就如經上所記：「我要摧毀智慧人的智慧，廢棄聰明人的聰明。」智慧人在哪裏？文士在哪裏？這世上的辯士在哪裏？上帝豈不是已使這世上的智慧變成愚拙了嗎？既然世人憑自己的智慧不認識上帝，上帝就本着自己的智慧樂意藉着人所傳愚拙的話拯救那些信的人。

但是，你們要作行道的人，不要只作聽道的人，自己欺騙自己。

我實在告訴你們，凡要接受上帝國的，若不像小孩子，絕不能進去。」

你們豈不知不義的人不能承受上帝的國嗎？不要自欺！無論是淫亂的、拜偶像的、姦淫的、作娼妓的，親男色的、

關於祭過偶像的食物，我們曉得「我們都有知識」，但知識使人自高自大，惟有愛心能造就人。若有人自以為知道甚麼，他其實仍不知道他所應當知道的。

我實在告訴你們，凡要接受上帝國的，若不像小孩子，絕不能進去。」

「你們怎麼說：『我們有智慧，耶和華的律法在我們這裏』？看哪，其實文士的假筆舞弄虛假。

所以，凡自己謙卑像這小孩子的，他在天國裏就是最大的。

不要自欺；上帝是輕慢不得的，因為人種的是甚麼，收的也是甚麼。

只是作惡的和騙人的將變本加厲，迷惑人也被人迷惑。

你看見自以為有智慧的人嗎？愚昧人比他更有指望。

弟兄們，我不願意你們不知道這奧祕，恐怕你們自以為聰明。這奧祕就是有一部分以色列人是硬心的，等到外邦人的數目添滿了，

我們從前也是無知、悖逆、受迷惑，作各樣私慾和宴樂的奴隸，在惡毒、嫉妒中度日，是可恨的，而且彼此相恨。

要彼此同心，不要心高氣傲，倒要俯就卑微的人。不要自以為聰明。

不要自以為有智慧；要敬畏耶和華，遠離惡事。

他以灰塵為食，心裏迷糊，以致偏邪，不能自救，也不能說：「我右手中豈不是有虛謊嗎？」

不要被欺騙了；「濫交朋友敗壞品德。」

耶穌說：「你們要謹慎，不要受迷惑，因為將有好些人冒我的名來，說『我是基督』，又說『時候近了』，你們不要跟從他們！

若有人自以為虔誠，卻不勒住自己的舌頭，反欺騙自己的心，這人的虔誠是徒然的。

孩子們，現在要聽從我，不可離棄我口中的言語。

不要被人虛浮的話欺騙了，因這些事，上帝的憤怒必臨到那些悖逆的人。

我們為基督的緣故成為愚拙的；你們在基督裏倒是聰明的。我們軟弱，你們倒強壯；你們有榮耀，我們倒被藐視。

耶和華如此說：你們不要自欺說「迦勒底人必定離開我們」，因為他們必不離開。
