So, brothers and sisters, I could not speak to you as spiritual people, but instead as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ.

弟兄们，我从前对你们说话，不能把你们当作属灵的，只得把你们当作属肉体，在基督里为婴孩的。

弟兄们，我从前对你们说话，还不能把你们当作属灵的，只能把你们当作属肉体的，你们在基督里仅是婴孩。

兄弟乎、我昔與爾言、非視爾如屬靈者、乃如屬形軀者、如基督中之赤子、

兄弟乎、余教爾曹、非感聖神之人、乃狥私欲之人、以爾曹雖宗基督、渺如孩提、

兄弟乎、我昔教爾、不能視爾為屬神者、惟以爾為屬肉肉或作肉體下同者、於基督道尚如孩提、

兄弟乎、前次予為爾等講道時、未能以超性之人語之、蓋爾等仍不脫本性、而於基督道中猶為嬰孩。

Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly— mere infants in Christ.

Brothers and sisters, I couldn’t speak to you as people who live by the Holy Spirit. I had to speak to you as people who were still following the ways of the world. You aren’t growing as Christ wants you to. You are still like babies.

But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ.

Dear brothers and sisters, when I was with you I couldn’t talk to you as I would to spiritual people. I had to talk as though you belonged to this world or as though you were infants in Christ.

For my part, brothers and sisters, I was not able to speak to you as spiritual people but as people of the flesh, as babies in Christ.

And I, brothers and sisters, could not speak to you as spiritual people, but only as fleshly, as to infants in Christ.

And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ.

Brothers, I was not able to speak to you as spiritual people but as people of the flesh, as babies in Christ.

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal,[ even] as unto babes in Christ.

Brothers, I couldn’t speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to babies in Christ.

The unbeliever does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him. And he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.The one who is spiritual discerns all things, yet he himself is understood by no one.

For everyone who lives on milk is inexperienced in the message of righteousness, because he is an infant.

until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God– a mature person, attaining to the measure of Christ’s full stature.So we are no longer to be children, tossed back and forth by waves and carried about by every wind of teaching by the trickery of people who craftily carry out their deceitful schemes.

Now we do speak wisdom among the mature, but not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are perishing.

For we know that the law is spiritual– but I am unspiritual, sold into slavery to sin.

Brothers and sisters, if a person is discovered in some sin, you who are spiritual restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness. Pay close attention to yourselves, so that you are not tempted too.

Brothers and sisters, do not be children in your thinking. Instead, be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.

But he turned and said to Peter,“ Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, because you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but on man’s.”

for you are still influenced by the flesh. For since there is still jealousy and dissension among you, are you not influenced by the flesh and behaving like unregenerate people?For whenever someone says,“ I am with Paul,” or“ I am with Apollos,” are you not merely human?
