我們所領受的，不是這世界的靈，而是從神而來的靈，好讓我們能知道神所賜給我們的這些事；

What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.

要知道，順著肉體的人，思想屬肉體的事；順著聖靈的人，思想屬聖靈的事。屬肉體的思想帶來死亡；屬聖靈的思想帶來生命和平安。

我們知道：我們屬於神，但整個世界都伏在那惡者之下。我們也知道：神的兒子已經來了，並且把領悟的心賜給了我們，使我們能認識真實的那一位。我們在真實的那一位裡面，也就是在他的兒子耶穌基督裡面——這一位就是真神，就是永恆的生命。

他將榮耀我，因為他將從我領受，並傳講給你們。父所擁有的一切，都是我的。所以我說，聖靈將從我領受，並傳講給你們。

就是說，你們所領受的不是一個奴役的靈，使你們再有懼怕；相反，你們所領受的是使你們有兒子名份的聖靈——藉著他，我們呼叫：「阿爸！父啊！」聖靈親自與我們的靈一同作證：我們是神的兒女。

孩子們哪，你們屬於神，而且你們已經勝過了假先知們，因為那在你們裡面的，比那在世界上的更大。他們屬於世界，所以他們說的屬於世界，而世界也聽從他們。

所以現在，那些在基督耶穌裡的人，就不被定罪了，

對於他們，這世代的神把這些不信之人的心眼弄瞎了，使他們不能洞察基督榮耀的福音之光。基督就是神的形像。

隨後，天使對我說：「這些話是信實的、真實的。主——眾先知之靈的神，差派了他的天使，要把這些必須快發生的事指示給他的奴僕們。」

或者，你們以為經上所說的「神使聖靈住在我們裡面，他愛我們到嫉妒的地步」是空話嗎？

無論是保羅、是阿波羅、是磯法、是世界、是生、是死、是現在的事、是將來的事，全都屬於你們；

在其中，你們從前行事為人，是順著這世界的潮流，順著那空中勢力的掌權者，就是現今在那些不信從的兒女裡面做工的靈。

神既然沒有顧惜自己的兒子，為我們所有的人捨棄了他，難道不會把萬有也連同他一起賜給我們嗎？

然而，在成熟的人中間，我們也講智慧，但不是這世代的智慧，也不是這世代中將要被廢除的那些統治者的智慧。

然而神卻揀選了世上愚拙的，為了使那些有智慧的羞愧；神又揀選了世上軟弱的，為了使那些強壯的羞愧；

於是那巨龍被摔了下來。牠就是那古蛇，被稱為魔鬼和撒旦，那迷惑普天下的。牠被摔在地上，牠的使者們也與牠一起被摔了下來。
