Now, brothers and sisters, you know about the household of Stephanus, that as the first converts of Achaia, they devoted themselves to ministry for the saints. I urge you

兄弟乎、爾知司提反家乃亞該亞初實之果、且專事聖徒者、

爾知士提反家、在亞該亞、首宗主、專事聖徒、

兄弟乎、爾知司提反家、乃在亞該亞首先信主者、且專心事聖徒、

斯德法一家、乃亞該亞之首先奉教者、專心為聖教服務、此兄弟之所知也。

You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the Lord’s people. I urge you, brothers and sisters,

You know that the first believers in Achaia were from the family of Stephanas. They have spent all their time serving the Lord’s people. Brothers and sisters, I am asking you

Now I urge you, brothers— you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints—

You know that Stephanas and his household were the first of the harvest of believers in Greece, and they are spending their lives in service to God’s people. I urge you, dear brothers and sisters,

Brothers and sisters, you know the household of Stephanas: They are the firstfruits of Achaia and have devoted themselves to serving the saints. I urge you

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters: you know the household of Stephanas, that they are the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to ministry to the saints;

I urge you, brethren— you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints—

Now I beseech you, brethren( ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have set themselves to minister unto the saints),

Brothers, you know the household of Stephanas: They are the firstfruits of Achaia and have devoted themselves to serving the saints. I urge you

I beseech you, brethren,( ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and[ that] they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)

Now I beg you, brothers— you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have set themselves to serve the saints—

Also greet the church in their house. Greet my dear friend Epenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in the province of Asia.

( I also baptized the household of Stephanus. Otherwise, I do not remember whether I baptized anyone else.)

Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of the varied grace of God.

Contribute to the needs of the saints, pursue hospitality.

But now I go to Jerusalem to minister to the saints.

begging us with great earnestness for the blessing and fellowship of helping the saints.

For it is not necessary for me to write you about this service to the saints,

so that you may welcome her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints and provide her with whatever help she may need from you, for she has been a great help to many, including me.

Now in Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha( which in translation means Dorcas). She was continually doing good deeds and acts of charity.At that time she became sick and died. When they had washed her body, they placed it in an upstairs room.Because Lydda was near Joppa, when the disciples heard that Peter was there, they sent two men to him and urged him,“ Come to us without delay.”So Peter got up and went with them, and when he arrived they brought him to the upper room. All the widows stood beside him, crying and showing him the tunics and other clothing Dorcas used to make while she was with them.But Peter sent them all outside, knelt down, and prayed. Turning to the body, he said,“ Tabitha, get up.” Then she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.He gave her his hand and helped her get up. Then he called the saints and widows and presented her alive.

These are the ones who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed from humanity as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb,

because the service of this ministry is not only providing for the needs of the saints but is also overflowing with many thanks to God.Through the evidence of this service they will glorify God because of your obedience to your confession in the gospel of Christ and the generosity of your sharing with them and with everyone.And in their prayers on your behalf they long for you because of the extraordinary grace God has shown to you.Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Now while Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews attacked Paul together and brought him before the judgment seat,

and has a reputation for good works: as one who has raised children, practiced hospitality, washed the feet of the saints, helped those in distress– as one who has exhibited all kinds of good works.

For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love you have demonstrated for his name, in having served and continuing to serve the saints.

I was glad about the arrival of Stephanus, Fortunatus, and Achaicus because they have supplied the fellowship with you that I lacked.

Pray that I may be rescued from those who are disobedient in Judea and that my ministry in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,

I have had great joy and encouragement because of your love, for the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
