兄弟乎、爾知司提反家、乃在亞該亞首先信主者、且專心事聖徒、

斯德法一家、乃亞該亞之首先奉教者、專心為聖教服務、此兄弟之所知也。

You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the Lord’s people. I urge you, brothers and sisters,

You know that the first believers in Achaia were from the family of Stephanas. They have spent all their time serving the Lord’s people. Brothers and sisters, I am asking you

Now I urge you, brothers— you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints—

You know that Stephanas and his household were the first of the harvest of believers in Greece, and they are spending their lives in service to God’s people. I urge you, dear brothers and sisters,

請問候在他們家裡的教會。請問候我親愛的以佩尼托，他是亞細亞省歸入基督的初熟果子。

我雖然也給司提法納的一家人施過洗，此外我卻不記得是否給其他人施過洗。

每個人要照著自己所領受的恩賜來彼此服事，做神各種恩典的好管家。

要分擔聖徒的缺乏；盡力款待客旅。

但如今，我要到耶路撒冷去服事聖徒，

用許多乞求的話，懇請我們在對聖徒的服事上給與他們恩准和分享的機會；

關於服事聖徒的事，其實我不必給你們寫什麼，

請你們在主裡以聖徒配得的方式來歡迎她。無論她在什麼事上需要你們，都請你們幫助她，因為她實在幫助了許多人，也幫助了我。

在約帕有一個女門徒，名叫塔比莎——「塔比莎」翻譯出來意思是「羚羊」。她盡做美善工作，常行施捨。就在那些日子裡，她患病死了。人們清洗了遺體，就放在樓上的房間。利達離約帕不遠，門徒們聽說彼得在利達，就派了兩個人到他那裡，懇求他說：「請你來到我們這裡，不要耽延！」彼得就起身陪他們一起去。到了以後，他們把他領到樓上的房間。所有的寡婦都站在彼得旁邊哭，把多卡絲與她們在一起的時候所縫製的衣服和袍子拿給他看。彼得叫大家都出去，然後跪下禱告，接著轉過身對著遺體，說：「塔比莎，你起來！」那婦人就睜開眼睛，看見彼得，而且坐了起來。彼得伸手扶她站起來，又叫聖徒們和寡婦們進來，把活過來的多卡絲交給他們。

這些人沒有與女人在一起而玷汙自己，實際上他們是童身；無論羔羊到哪裡去，他們都跟隨他；這些人是從人間被贖回來，做為初熟的果子歸給神和羔羊的；

因為這服事的工作，不僅補足了聖徒們的缺乏，並且能藉著對神的許多感謝而充實滿溢。他們藉著這次服事的憑證，因你們順服了那為基督福音所做的告白，也因你們給他們和眾人的慷慨分享，他們就會榮耀神；並且他們因著神賜給你們這無限的恩典，就切切地想念你們，為你們祈禱。感謝神，因他有無法描述的恩賜！

伽利奧任亞該亞省長的時候，猶太人一致起來攻擊保羅，把他帶到審判臺前，

並且必須有美好行為的名聲，就如養育孩子、接待客旅、洗聖徒的腳、幫助受患難的人、追隨一切美善的工作。

因為神不是不公正的，以致忘記你們的工作和你們為他的名所顯出的愛，就是你們先前和如今服事聖徒時所顯出的愛。

我為司提法納、福特納托和阿卡伊庫的到來感到歡喜，因為他們彌補了你們的空缺；

願神救我脫離猶太地區不肯信從的人，也使我為耶路撒冷的這服事可以蒙聖徒們的悅納，

實際上，我由於你的愛得了極大的喜樂和鼓勵，因為弟兄啊，聖徒們的情感藉著你得了安寧。
