兄弟乎、爾知司提反家乃亞該亞初實之果、且專事聖徒者、

爾知士提反家、在亞該亞、首宗主、專事聖徒、

兄弟乎、爾知司提反家、乃在亞該亞首先信主者、且專心事聖徒、

斯德法一家、乃亞該亞之首先奉教者、專心為聖教服務、此兄弟之所知也。

You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the Lord’s people. I urge you, brothers and sisters,

You know that the first believers in Achaia were from the family of Stephanas. They have spent all their time serving the Lord’s people. Brothers and sisters, I am asking you

Now I urge you, brothers— you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints—

You know that Stephanas and his household were the first of the harvest of believers in Greece, and they are spending their lives in service to God’s people. I urge you, dear brothers and sisters,

Brothers and sisters, you know the household of Stephanas: They are the firstfruits of Achaia and have devoted themselves to serving the saints. I urge you

請問候在他們家中聚會的教會。請問候我所愛的以拜尼土，他在亞細亞最先信主。

不錯，我也曾為司提法納的家人施洗，除此以外，我不記得還為誰施洗了。

按著自己所得的恩賜彼此服侍，作上帝各樣恩典的好管家。

信徒有缺乏，要慷慨幫助；客人來訪，要熱誠款待。

但現在我要去耶路撒冷服侍當地的聖徒，

他們懇切地求我們准許他們與有需要的聖徒分享上帝的恩典。

關於捐助聖徒的事，其實我不必再寫信提醒你們，

請你們因為在主裡的關係，照著做聖徒的本分接待她。無論她有什麼需要，請你們幫助她，因為她幫助過许多人，也幫助過我。

在約帕有個樂善好施的女信徒名叫戴碧達，希臘話叫多加，意思是「羚羊」。當時，她患病死了。有人將她的屍體洗乾淨後，停放在樓上。呂大和約帕相距不遠，門徒聽說彼得在呂大，就派兩個人趕去請他立刻來約帕。彼得便隨他們一同到了那裡，有人領他上樓。眾寡婦都站在彼得周圍哭，並把多加生前縫制的內衣、外衣給他看。彼得叫她們都出去，自己跪下禱告，然後轉身對死者說：「戴碧達，起來！」她便睜開了眼睛，看見彼得，就坐了起來。彼得伸手扶她起來後，叫那些在外面等候的門徒和寡婦進來，把活過來的多加交給他們。

這些人從未沾染過婦女，都是童身。無論羔羊往哪裡去，他們都緊隨其後。他們是從世人中被贖出來的，作為初熟的果實獻給上帝和羔羊。

因為這件善事不單可以幫助經濟困難的聖徒，也使許多人對上帝充滿感恩。通過這件善事，他們會把榮耀歸給上帝，因為看見你們信服基督的福音，慷慨地幫助他們及眾人。他們也會因上帝賜給你們的豐盛恩典而熱切地為你們禱告。感謝上帝，祂的恩賜真是無以言表！

迦流出任亞該亞總督時，猶太人聯合起來攻擊保羅，把他拉上法庭，

並且在善事上有好名聲，如教養兒女、接待外人、服侍聖徒、救助困苦、竭力做各種善事。

因為上帝並非不公義，以致忘記你們為祂所做的工作以及你們過去和現在服侍聖徒所表現的愛心。

我很高興司提法納、福徒拿都和亞該古來我這裡，因為你們幫不到我的地方，他們都補足了。

使我脫離猶太地區不信之人的迫害，叫耶路撒冷的聖徒樂意接受我帶去的捐款，

弟兄啊，你的愛心給我帶來極大的喜樂和安慰，因為你使眾聖徒感到欣慰。
