For this reason take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest,and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace.In every situation take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit— which is the word of God.Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.

Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by his vast strength.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

But he said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and in difficulties, for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

For freedom, Christ set us free. Stand firm, then, and don’t submit again to a yoke of slavery.

Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Wait for the LORD.

I am able to do all things through him who strengthens me.

So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold to the traditions you were taught, whether by what we said or what we wrote.

Just one thing: As citizens of heaven, live your life worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, in one accord, contending together for the faith of the gospel,

Be sober-minded, be alert. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.

For now we live, if you stand firm in the Lord.

Say to the cowardly:“ Be strong; do not fear! Here is your God; vengeance is coming. God’s retribution is coming; he will save you.”

Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in the concerns of civilian life; he seeks to please the commanding officer.Also, if anyone competes as an athlete, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.

Now I want to make clear for you, brothers and sisters, the gospel I preached to you, which you received, on which you have taken your standand by which you are being saved, if you hold to the message I preached to you— unless you believed in vain.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Be strong! Let’s prove ourselves strong for our people and for the cities of our God. May the LORD’s will be done.”

I do not mean that we lord it over your faith, but we are workers with you for your joy, because you stand firm in your faith.

Stay awake and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Devote yourselves to prayer; stay alert in it with thanksgiving.

The end of all things is near; therefore, be alert and sober-minded for prayer.

“ Watch! Be alert! For you don’t know when the time is coming.“ It is like a man on a journey, who left his house, gave authority to his servants, gave each one his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to be alert.Therefore be alert, since you don’t know when the master of the house is coming— whether in the evening or at midnight or at the crowing of the rooster or early in the morning.Otherwise, when he comes suddenly he might find you sleeping.And what I say to you, I say to everyone: Be alert!”

Realize now that the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong, and do it.”

Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, sends you greetings. He is always wrestling for you in his prayers, so that you can stand mature and fully assured in everything God wills.

Brothers and sisters, don’t be childish in your thinking, but be infants in regard to evil and adult in your thinking.

You, therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of eternal life to which you were called and about which you have made a good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

if indeed you remain grounded and steadfast in the faith and are not shifted away from the hope of the gospel that you heard. This gospel has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and I, Paul, have become a servant of it.

Now everyone who competes exercises self-control in everything. They do it to receive a perishable crown, but we an imperishable crown.So I do not run like one who runs aimlessly or box like one beating the air.Instead, I discipline my body and bring it under strict control, so that after preaching to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

So then, let us not sleep, like the rest, but let us stay awake and be self-controlled.

Then he came and found them sleeping. He said to Peter,“ Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn’t you stay awake one hour?Stay awake and pray so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

With flattery he will corrupt those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will be strong and take action.

I pray that he may grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power in your inner being through his Spirit,

Be alert and strengthen what remains, which is about to die, for I have not found your works complete before my God.Remember, then, what you have received and heard; keep it, and repent. If you are not alert, I will come like a thief, and you have no idea at what hour I will come upon you.

But as for you, exercise self-control in everything, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Therefore be alert, since you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.But know this: If the homeowner had known what time the thief was coming, he would have stayed alert and not let his house be broken into.This is why you are also to be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Be strong! Let’s prove ourselves strong for our people and for the cities of our God. May the LORD’s will be done.”

Show some courage and be men, Philistines! Otherwise, you’ll serve the Hebrews just as they served you. Now be men and fight!”

Anyone who rebels against your order and does not obey your words in all that you command him, will be put to death. Above all, be strong and courageous!”

But be alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place and to stand before the Son of Man.”

“ Therefore be alert, because you don’t know either the day or the hour.

“ Look, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who is alert and remains clothed so that he may not go around naked and people see his shame.”

Even so, be strong, Zerubbabel— this is the LORD’s declaration. Be strong, Joshua son of Jehozadak, high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land— this is the LORD’s declaration. Work! For I am with you— the declaration of the LORD of Armies.

“ As for me, I am going the way of all of the earth. Be strong and be a man,

“ Be ready for service and have your lamps lit.You are to be like people waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet so that when he comes and knocks, they can open the door for him at once.Blessed will be those servants the master finds alert when he comes. The LORD of Armies says this:“ Let your hands be strong, you who now hear these words that the prophets spoke when the foundations were laid for the rebuilding of the temple, the house of the LORD of Armies.

And what more can I say? Time is too short for me to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets,who by faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions,quenched the raging of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, gained strength in weakness, became mighty in battle, and put foreign armies to flight.

As you have been a curse among the nations, house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing. Don’t be afraid; let your hands be strong.”
