Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was quite unwilling to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity.

亞波羅算什麼？保羅算什麼？我們不過是上帝的僕人，各人照著主所賜的才幹引導你們信靠上帝。

那時有一個生於亞歷山大、名叫亞波羅的猶太人來到以弗所。他博學善辯，熟悉聖經。他在主的道上曾受過栽培，心裡火熱，能正確地講解和教導有關耶穌的事，但他只知道約翰的洗禮。他在會堂裡勇敢地講道。百基拉和亞居拉聽了以後，便請他到家裡，將上帝的道更詳細地告訴他。亞波羅有意去亞該亞，以弗所的弟兄姊妹就鼓勵他，並寫信請當地的門徒接待他。亞波羅到了之後，帶給當地蒙恩信主的人很大幫助。他在公眾面前有力地駁倒猶太人，引用聖經證明耶穌就是基督。當亞波羅在哥林多時，保羅已取道內陸重回以弗所，在那裡遇見幾個門徒。

無論是保羅、亞波羅、彼得、世界、生命、死亡、現在的事或將來的事都屬於你們，

天下萬物都有定期，凡事都有定時。

當保羅講到公義、節制和將來的審判時，腓利斯十分恐懼，說：「你先下去吧，改天有機會，我再叫你來。」

但我們的救主上帝向人彰顯了祂的恩慈和仁愛，

機會終於來了。希律在自己的生日那天設宴招待文武百官和加利利的顯要。
