死乎、爾勝安在、死乎、爾鋒安在、

死之為害何在、陰府之克我何在、

死之鋒鋩何在、陰府之勝何在、

『嗚呼死亡！爾之勝利安在？爾之毒螫又安在哉？』

“ Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”

“ Death, where is the victory you thought you had? Death, where is your sting?”( Hosea 13:14)

“ O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”

Where, death, is your victory? Where, death, is your sting?

“ O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”

O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?

Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?

O death, where[ is] thy sting? O grave, where[ is] thy victory?

“ Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?”

Will I deliver them from the power of Sheol? No, I will not! Will I redeem them from death? No, I will not! O Death, bring on your plagues! O Sheol, bring on your destruction! My eyes will not show any compassion!

No man can live on without experiencing death, or deliver his life from the power of Sheol.( Selah)

So I thought to myself,“ The fate of the fool will happen even to me! Then what did I gain by becoming so excessively wise?” So I lamented to myself,“ The benefits of wisdom are ultimately meaningless!”For the wise man, like the fool, will not be remembered for very long, because in the days to come, both will already have been forgotten. Alas, the wise man dies– just like the fool!

Yet death reigned from Adam until Moses even over those who did not sin in the same way that Adam( who is a type of the coming one) transgressed.

So he said,“ Who are you, Lord?” He replied,“ I am Jesus whom you are persecuting!

And in hell, as he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far off with Lazarus at his side.

( the ransom price for a human life is too high, and people go to their final destiny),so that he might continue to live forever and not experience death.Surely one sees that even wise people die; fools and spiritually insensitive people all pass away and leave their wealth to others.Their grave becomes their permanent residence, their eternal dwelling place. They name their lands after themselves,but, despite their wealth, people do not last, they are like animals that perish.This is the destiny of fools, and of those who approve of their philosophy.( Selah)They will travel to Sheol like sheep, with death as their shepherd. The godly will rule over them when the day of vindication dawns; Sheol will consume their bodies and they will no longer live in impressive houses.But God will rescue my life from the power of Sheol; certainly he will pull me to safety.( Selah)

because you will not leave my soul in Hades, nor permit your Holy One to experience decay.

Just as no one has power over the wind to restrain it, so no one has power over the day of his death. Just as no one can be discharged during the battle, so wickedness cannot rescue the wicked.

The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each one was judged according to his deeds.Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death– the lake of fire.

For the fate of humans and the fate of animals are the same: As one dies, so dies the other; both have the same breath. There is no advantage for humans over animals, for both are fleeting.

For the living know that they will die, but the dead do not know anything; they have no further reward– and even the memory of them disappears.What they loved, as well as what they hated and envied, perished long ago, and they no longer have a part in anything that happens on earth.

It eats away parts of his skin; the most terrible death devours his limbs.He is dragged from the security of his tent, and marched off to the king of terrors.

They have tails and stingers like scorpions, and their ability to injure people for five months is in their tails.
