For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.

Our natural bodies don’t last forever. They must be dressed with what does last forever. What dies must be dressed with what does not die.

For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.

For this corruptible body must be clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal body must be clothed with immortality.

We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing.For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies.While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life.

The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living.Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don’t participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy.Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.

Put on your new nature, created to be like God— truly righteous and holy.

And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.

He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.
