當號筒發出響聲，他要差派使者，把他的選民從四方，從天這邊到天那邊都招聚來。

因為主必親自從天降臨，那時，有發令的聲音，有天使長的呼聲，還有神的號聲，那些在基督裡死了的人必先復活；然後，我們還活著存留的人，必和他們一同被提到雲裡，在空中與主相會。這樣，我們就要和主常常同在。

我實實在在告訴你們，時候將到，現在就是了，死人要聽見神兒子的聲音，聽見的人就要活了。

你們不要把這事看作希奇，因為時候將到，那時所有在墳墓裡的都要聽見他的聲音，

到那日，必有大號角吹響，那些在亞述地快要滅亡的，以及那些被趕散在埃及地的，都要前來，在耶路撒冷的聖山上敬拜耶和華。

但主的日子必要像賊一樣來到。在那日，天必轟然一聲地消失，所有元素都因烈火而融化；地和地上所有的，都要被燒毀（“被燒毀”有不少古抄本作“被發現”）。

死人復活也是這樣。所種的是必朽壞的，復活的是不朽壞的；

我觀看，就聽見一隻在高空飛翔的鷹，大聲說：“有禍了！有禍了！住在地上的人有禍了！因為還有三位天使將要吹其餘的號。”

第六位天使吹號，我聽見有一個聲音從神面前金壇的四角發出來，對拿著號筒的第六位天使說：“把捆綁在幼發拉底大河的那四個使者放了吧！”

耶和華必在他子民頭上顯現，他的箭必像閃電一般射出；主耶和華必吹起號角，乘著南方的暴風而行。

我看見站在神面前的七位天使，有七枝號筒賜給了他們。

世上所有的居民，住在全地上的人哪！山上豎起旗幟的時候，你們要注意；號角吹響的時候，你們要聆聽。

他們忽然間成了多麼荒涼，被突然的驚恐完全消滅。

弟兄們，我告訴你們，血肉之體不能承受神的國，必朽壞的也不能承受那不朽壞的。

到了第三天早晨的時候，山上有雷聲、閃電和密雲，並且角聲非常強大，以致所有在營中的人民都顫抖。

這人見刀劍臨到那地，就吹響號角，警告眾人；

全體人民都看見打雷、閃電、角聲和冒著煙的山；人民看見了，就顫抖，遠遠地站著。

耶和華對摩西說：“你要對以色列人說：‘你們是硬著頸項的民；我若是霎時間與你們同行，我會把你們消滅的；所以，現在你們要把你們身上的裝飾脫下來，使我知道我要怎樣處置你們。’”

如果單吹一枝，眾領袖，就是以色列的族長，都要到你那裡聚集。

“你們要離開這會眾，我好在眨眼間把他們消滅。”他們二人就俯伏在地。

但是，那守望的人若見刀劍臨到，卻不吹響號角，以致人民沒有受到警告，刀劍來把他們中間的一個人除滅；那人雖然因自己的罪孽被除滅，我卻要因他的死追究守望的人。’

“你們要離開這會眾，我好在眨眼間把他們吞滅。”
