在響亮的號聲中，祂將差遣天使從四面八方、天涯海角招聚祂揀選的人。

因為主必在號令聲、天使長的呼喊聲和上帝的號角聲中親自從天降臨，已經離世的基督徒必先復活。然後，我們還活著的人要和他們一起被提到雲裡，在空中與主相會，永遠和主在一起。

我實實在在地告訴你們，時候快到了，現在就是，死人將聽見上帝兒子的聲音，聽見的將存活。

你們不要因此而驚奇，時候一到，一切在墳墓裡的死人都要聽見上帝兒子的聲音，

到那日，號角吹響後，亞述地將要滅亡的以色列人和流散到埃及的以色列人，都必來到耶路撒冷的聖山敬拜耶和華。

不過，主再來的日子要像賊一樣突然臨到。那日，諸天必在一聲巨響中消失，有形有質的都要被烈火焚毀，大地和其中的一切將不復存在。

死人復活也是同樣的道理。種下去的會朽壞，復活的不會朽壞；

我又看見有一隻鷹在半空中飛翔，聽見牠大聲宣告：「有禍了！有禍了！世上的居民有禍了！還有三位天使要吹響號角。」

第六位天使吹號的時候，我聽見有一個聲音從上帝面前的金祭壇的四個角發出來，對剛才吹號的第六位天使說：「將那捆綁在幼發拉底河的四個天使放出來！」

耶和華必在他們上面顯現，祂的箭如閃電射出。主耶和華必吹響號角，乘南方的暴風而來。

然後，我看見站在上帝面前的七位天使領受了七支號角。

世上的一切居民啊，山上豎立旗幟的時候，你們要看；號角吹響的時候，你們要聽。

他們頃刻間被毀滅，在恐怖中徹底滅亡。

弟兄姊妹，我告訴你們，血肉之軀不能承受上帝的國，必朽壞的身體也不能承受永不朽壞的產業。

到了第三天早晨，山上雷電大作，烏雲密佈，又有嘹亮的號角聲，營中的百姓都膽戰心驚。

守望者發現敵人來攻打，便吹號警告百姓。

那時雷電交加，號角嘹亮，山上冒煙，百姓看見此情景，都嚇得渾身顫抖，不敢挨近。

耶和華對摩西說：「你去向以色列百姓宣佈，『你們這些頑固不化的人，我就是跟你們在一起待一刻，都恐怕會滅絕你們。現在你們要摘下自己身上的飾物，我再決定怎樣處置你們。』」

如果只吹響一支號，擔任首領的以色列各族長要聚集到你那裡。

「你們離開這些會眾，我好在頃刻之間消滅他們。」他們二人就俯伏在地。

但如果守望者看見敵人來攻打而不吹號警告百姓，以致有人被敵人殺了，那人固然是因自己的罪惡而被殺，我卻要向這守望者追討那人被殺的血債。』

「你們離開這些會眾，我好在頃刻之間消滅他們。」
