For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, in the same way, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.For we say this to you by a word from the Lord: We who are still alive at the Lord’s coming will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the archangel’s voice, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.Then we who are still alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of his glorious body, by the power that enables him to subject everything to himself.

But as it is, Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

On the contrary, we speak God’s hidden wisdom in a mystery, a wisdom God predestined before the ages for our glory.

He made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he purposed in Christ

Then he appeared to over five hundred brothers and sisters at one time; most of them are still alive, but some have fallen asleep.

A person should think of us in this way: as servants of Christ and managers of the mysteries of God.

The mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have briefly written above.

Those, then, who have fallen asleep in Christ have also perished.

This mystery is profound, but I am talking about Christ and the church.

If I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.
