It is written,“ The first man Adam became a living person.”( Genesis 2:7) The last Adam became a spirit that gives life.

Thus it is written,“ The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

The Scriptures tell us,“ The first man, Adam, became a living person.” But the last Adam— that is, Christ— is a life giving Spirit.

So it is written, The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.

because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Jesus answered,“ I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law.Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you— they are full of the Spirit and life.

But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.

For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched— this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

The Spirit and the bride say,“ Come!” And let the one who hears say,“ Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

Simon Peter answered him,“ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven.As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven.And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man.

but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.

He said to me:“ It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Jesus answered her,“ If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

Jesus said to her,“ I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.

Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.“ Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voiceand come out— those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.
