我們呢、又為甚麼時時刻刻冒險呢？

我們又為什麼要時時刻刻面臨危險呢？

且我儕何為恆冒險哉、

我儕何為恆冒險乎、

且吾儕之臨危蹈難、不遑寧息、所為何事乎？

And as for us, why do we endanger ourselves every hour?

And why would we put ourselves in danger every hour?

Why are we in danger every hour?

And why should we ourselves risk our lives hour by hour?

And why do we stand in jeopardy every hour?

as unknown yet recognized; as dying and look— we live; as being disciplined yet not killed;

Now brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

I affirm by the pride in you that I have in Christ Jesus our Lord: I die every day!

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us.We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair;we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed.We always carry the death of Jesus in our body, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.For we who live are always given over to death because of Jesus, so that Jesus’ life may also be revealed in our mortal flesh.So death works in us, but life in you.

Are they servants of Christ? I’m talking like a madman— I’m a better one: with far more labors, many more imprisonments, far worse beatings, near death many times.Five times I received 39 lashes from Jews.Three times I was beaten with rods by the Romans. Once I was stoned by my enemies. Three times I was shipwrecked. I have spent a night and a day in the open sea.On frequent journeys, I faced dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my own people, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the open country, dangers on the sea, and dangers among false brothers;labor and hardship, many sleepless nights, hunger and thirst, often without food, cold, and lacking clothing.

As it is written: Because of You we are being put to death all day long; we are counted as sheep to be slaughtered.No, in all these things we are more than victorious through Him who loved us.For I am persuaded that not even death or life, angels or rulers, things present or things to come, hostile powers,height or depth, or any other created thing will have the power to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!
