For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.

為此，正如罪是從一人進入世界，死又從罪而來，於是死就臨到所有的人，因為人人都犯了罪。沒有律法之前，罪已經在世上，但沒有律法，罪也不算罪。然而，從亞當到摩西，死就掌了權，連那些不與亞當犯一樣罪過的，也在死的權下。亞當是那以後要來之人的預像。但是過犯不如恩賜，若因一人的過犯，眾人都死了，那麼，神的恩典，與那因耶穌基督一人而來的恩典中的賞賜，豈不加倍地臨到眾人嗎？因一人犯罪而來的後果，也不如賞賜，原來審判是由一人而定罪，恩賜乃是由許多過犯而稱義。若因一人的過犯，死就因這一人掌權，那些受洪恩又蒙所賜之義的，豈不更要因耶穌基督一人在他們生命中掌權嗎？

耶穌對她說：「復活在我，生命也在我。信我的人雖然死了，也必復活。

在亞當裏眾人都死了；同樣，在基督裏眾人也都要復活。

因為罪的工價乃是死；惟有神的恩賜，在我們的主基督耶穌裏，乃是永生。
