For this reason I also suffer these things; but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to protect what I have entrusted to Him until that day.

No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him.

And I heard a voice from heaven, saying,“ Write:‘ Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!’ ”“ Yes,” says the Spirit,“ so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them.”

who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

Indeed, all who want to live in a godly way in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more matters of this life?So if you have law courts dealing with matters of this life, do you appoint them as judges who are of no account in the church?

For there are many words which increase futility. What then is the advantage to a person?

They will ban you from the synagogue, yet an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering a service to God.

“ Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.And you will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.“ But whenever they persecute you in one city, flee to the next; for truly I say to you, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes.“ A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master.It is enough for the disciple that he may become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they insult the members of his household!

From people by Your hand, Lord, From people of the world, whose portion is in this life, And whose belly You fill with Your treasure; They are satisfied with children, And leave their abundance to their babies.

Enjoy life with the wife whom you love all the days of your futile life which He has given you under the sun, all the days of your futility; for this is your reward in life and in your work which you have labored under the sun.

And the seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked by worries, riches, and pleasures of this life, and they bring no fruit to maturity.

constantly keeping in mind your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father,

to the end that we who were the first to hope in the Christ would be to the praise of His glory.In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation— having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of the promise,
