who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

Don’t you know that we will judge angels— not to mention ordinary matters?So if you have cases pertaining to this life, do you select those who have no standing in the church to judge?

For when there are many words, they increase futility. What is the advantage for man?

They will ban you from the synagogues. In fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering service to God.

“ Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will even rise up against their parents and have them put to death.You will be hated by everyone because of My name. But the one who endures to the end will be delivered.When they persecute you in one town, escape to another. For I assure you: You will not have covered the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.A disciple is not above his teacher, or a slave above his master.It is enough for a disciple to become like his teacher and a slave like his master. If they called the head of the house‘ Beelzebul,’ how much more the members of his household!

With Your hand, Lord, save me from men, from men of the world whose portion is in this life: You fill their bellies with what You have in store; their sons are satisfied, and they leave their surplus to their children.

Enjoy life with the wife you love all the days of your fleeting life, which has been given to you under the sun, all your fleeting days. For that is your portion in life and in your struggle under the sun.

As for the seed that fell among thorns, these are the ones who, when they have heard, go on their way and are choked with worries, riches, and pleasures of life, and produce no mature fruit.

We recall, in the presence of our God and Father, your work of faith, labor of love, and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ,

“ Be on your guard, so that your minds are not dulled from carousing, drunkenness, and worries of life, or that day will come on you unexpectedly
