Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand.

I marvel that ye are so quickly removing from him that called you in the grace of Christ unto a different gospel;which is not another gospel: only there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.But though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach unto you any gospel other than that which we preached unto you, let him be anathema.As we have said before, so say I now again, If any man preacheth unto you any gospel other than that which ye received, let him be anathema.For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? or am I striving to please men? if I were still pleasing men, I should not be a servant of Christ.For I make known to you, brethren, as touching the gospel which was preached by me, that it is not after man.For neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus Christ.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which also I received: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;and that he was buried; and that he hath been raised on the third day according to the scriptures;and that he appeared to Cephas; then to the twelve;then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep;then he appeared to James; then to all the apostles;and last of all, as to the child untimely born, he appeared to me also.For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.Whether then it be I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

By Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I account him, I have written unto you briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God: stand ye fast therein.

through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my gospel, by Jesus Christ.

And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded Jews and Greeks.But when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was constrained by the word, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.

Not that we have lordship over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for in faith ye stand fast.

Now the apostles and the brethren that were in Judæa heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

And these in like manner are they that are sown upon the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, straightway receive it with joy;and they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, straightway they stumble.And others are they that are sown among the thorns; these are they that have heard the word,and the cares of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.And those are they that were sown upon the good ground; such as hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, thirtyfold, and sixtyfold, and a hundredfold.

They then that received his word were baptized: and there were added unto them in that day about three thousand souls.

And for this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when ye received from us the word of the message, even the word of God, ye accepted it not as the word of men, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also worketh in you that believe.

Finally then, brethren, we beseech and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as ye received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, even as ye do walk,— that ye abound more and more.

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which they received of us.

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my sayings, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I spake, the same shall judge him in the last day.

And ye became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit;

For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.And my speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.We speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, even the wisdom that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory:

I thank my God always concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus;that in everything ye were enriched in him, in all utterance and all knowledge;even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:so that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ;who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye be unreproveable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

but we preach Christ crucified, unto Jews a stumblingblock, and unto Gentiles foolishness;but unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

I planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
